  1. Now Katie, was this really worth it? 90% of Britain hates you, you found out your gran is a whore, you've got a disgusting haircut and all for what? Enjoy the rest of your life xx

  2. It's really hard to know what the 'plan B' for Katie is now. I seriously doubt that any record companies will be knocking on her door. Obviously she's got the x-factor tour and then what? Next year's panto as the wicked Queen or King Rat? It's hard when someone clearly stakes everything on becoming a famous pop star.

  3. +1

    She's a good songwriter, she's "unique".
Never in any way Katie made karaoke. She is a serious artist. She tries, sometimes its works, sometimes not. But it's not boring, it's always fresh, personal, new somewhere. That's what Simon likes because he knows how important is it in the record business.
Give her some time to keep her best work and she will bring a very good album.

She is not like these so predictable Joe McElderry, Olly Murs, Leon Jackson and so many others. Nobody dislikes Joe McElderry, but he sells few albums. Record's companies don't want these non-artist. Do you believe Joe will have the opportunity to do a second album ? I don't.

Perhaps the Katie's fan-base is not huge, but they are ready to buy a record by Katie because it's different and nobody can give what Katie gives.

  4. Katie has already written more than 10 good songs. It's not expensive for a record company to make her album. With the X-Factor's exposure her album is profitable.

  5. 0:56 is not the face of a happy mentor.

Be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it.

  7. This made her departure that bit more enjoyable

  8. Katie got more support from Simon (even Louis) than from Cheryl.
    Katie has often embarrassed Cheryl.

Brian Friedman : "I think she (Katie) is a true artist, I do love Katie".
Brian Friedman is an artist !

Cheryl has always talked about Katie as "quicky", "drama queen"...
    WTF ?

  9. Yeah, I worded that a bit wrong.

The reason she was in the bottom 2 4 times was because of the tabloids, by this point in the competition anyone can go at any point.

    As Proven:
Thank you for that well placed post!

  10. Tribal Spaceman

    Tribal Spaceman Oh, OK.

    HAHA! This thread is amazing.

  11. I'm genuinely going to miss her. She had the X Factor, may not have been as vocally talented as the others but she had it.

Katie and Cher were the only ones left with any kind of spark, (maybe Harry), but the rest are bland.

  12. Tribal Spaceman

    Tribal Spaceman Oh, OK.

Shush about Harry, he gets way too much attention as it is!

  13. For me she is the most vocally talented. Does she have the best voice ? No, mostly because its range is not large.
She proved to be the most versatile. So, she is vocally talented.

Rebecca got a beautiful voice, but she can do right only one (or two) kind of singing/music. Is this a real talent ? Btw, she is often out of tune.

A lot of singers do not have a great voice but are great singers because they are very talented.

  14. Don't they get paid £100k for the tour? If you don't get anything else that's pretty good pay for a year of your life.

  15. Not to mention what she'll be paid to talk to the press & for the inevitable I'm a Celebrity... appearance

  16. Goodness! *auditions*

  17. I hope she does the oh-sod-it-sit-down routine every night on the tour. Her fans will be disappointed otherwise.

  18. I'm not sure she'll be on the tour. She'll probably change her name to an unpronounceable symbol, write "SLAVE" on her forehead and demand to be released from her contract. No one has has done that for a while.
