With the album weeks away, I’m pretty sure the record label are throwing everything at this to make it work and be a success, otherwise the era is moving from a flop to an utter disaster. They’re going pretty hard with “Lifetimes” promo on TikTok and IG already. That dance video is being sponsored and it has shown up on my FYP multiple times, as well as an ad on IG stories with footage from her Barcelona club visit the other night dd
They don't make a splash in the first week, but The Weeknd's greatest hits has spent 124 weeks in the top 10 here. The top 40 is full of greatest hits collections.@Kyle. said tour. A Greatest Hits album doesn't work as good as it used to, now in the age where you can find anything online on streaming - or only if they make something special out of it.
Isn't that (in the Weeknd's case) just because it contains lots of streaming hits that get strong recurrent streams and count toward the GH as an album sale? I don't think anyone is actually buying the GH and I doubt anyone is streaming it as a compilation either (since Spotify hides compilation albums). They don't make a splash in the first week, but The Weeknd's greatest hits has spent 124 weeks in the top 10 here. The top 40 is full of greatest hits collections.
I totally blanked out that she released 'Not The End Of The World' as a single.
The Maculate CollectiionIf the problem is that person, a GH would just be the worst thing to do, cos he would get a lot of money from it. Or are we taking his songs away ?

A GH with no singles from 2nd (except Firework) and 3rd album and half of debut ?
Random question: but is Woman's World a demo from over a decade ago that she revisited and reworked or am I getting that mixed up? I can't find anything on it but I swear something was posted about it on here awhile back before it was officially announced.
Ah right, that's it. Thanks! She had a song she did over a decade ago called “Man’s World” apparently, but it’s not the same song.
A Greatest Hits Tour would potentially drum up interest but that’s the only way.
I can't see her selling out arenas at this stage in her career, never mind stadiums.I legit thought that was going to be her next move after Vegas, a massive stadium tour.
Feels she's in the weird spot between theatres and arenas sales wise. Maybe smaller arenas or multiple nights at Apollo sized venues? But she's been an arena act in the UK since what, Teenage Dream? Think there was a theatre leg then an arena leg.I can't see her selling out arenas at this stage in her career, never mind stadiums.
Agreed. I am sure she will sell arenas out for a tour due to her back catalogue.Whether they brand it as a 143 Tour or a Greatest Hits Tour, she’s selling out arenas in the UK with her back catalogue.
The market is completely different to when she toured Witness (‘better’ market now) and she hasn’t been here since (built up demand).
