Katy Perry - "I'm His, He's Mine" (Sep 13) + 143 (Sep 20)

Max Martin one song? shared with Luke? Feat. Kim Petras?

It's just all so bleak, but also unnecessary. Like has been said before, nothing that we have heard couldn't have been produced by any other producer using stock loops. Luke has brought nothing creative to the table, and nothing he could bring could refloat the sinking ship. She worked with him while genuinely believing that it wouldn't be an issue, as is indicated in this recent interview. And that's wild. There are PR responses that I'm sure could have been cooked up to respond to that question, but what she choked up was not it.

It's all so icky!

nit/pick
It would be really interesting if 'Wonder' ends up being the most streamed song on the album. It would certainly send her team a message.
Um, I think having the first two singles completely bomb, and this whole career trajectory turning into one of pop music’s biggest flops ever, is a message already sent. Received? That’s another question. But they’re probably not amused.

Also, that Dr Luke response. Is anyone surprised? When someone over and over tells you they’re a shitty person who just doesn’t care, believe them. “It all comes from me” is really all I needed to hear.

I mean we live in an age where podcasters are the only ones viably going to ask these questions, and she said herself this is her only interview, so the answer is the answer. She's not doing a sit-down with Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer or Oprah any time soon.

Real journalists ask more questions? If anything, a real journalist would respond ''wow, yeah'' to Katy's idiotic statement.

Podcasters and vloggers usually don't give much fuck.

Yeah as an entertainment journalist for well over a decade this is... just categorically false.

She's sitting down with Call Her Daddy literally because her team will have been able to dictate everything about the interview. There is a reason this is the only interview she's doing, and why she's steered clear of sitting down with any credible journalists or publications.

I'm an entertainment journalist too ddd. And I've learnt that PR teams can be all over the interview, making you sound dumb for not asking follow ups when, in reality, you're not allowed to. I don't know, its been years since I watched a real, meaningful interview without the journalist looking completely uninterested or unaware of who is sitting in front of him.

I just thought Podcast and Vlogs are different because they're more fun and relaxed.

he / him
People really think journalists would bother to ask questions instead of nodding along and asking the mildest wet leading question. Most journalists at that level are nepo style installations anyway

Screaming at the idea of OPRAH quizzing her on using a rapist instead of honing in on MOTHERDOM
