I mean.... so many people were hating on her in the run up to this.....

Its a smash. And thats a fact....

Yes, the campaign has hit so many bumps in the road, but its here and its brilliant.

I can only hope that she does tour this as I need to dance to 'Cry About It Later' ASAP

Did she say her “intuition is never off”? Does she not remember recording the Hey Hey Hey video and releasing it as a single?

This is quite a bit better than I expected, not sure why Small Talk isn’t here that’s a strange decision

Hey Hey Hey was not an official single - she just made a video for it for fans. Small Talk is on the Fan Edition through her website.

It's nothing like Witness in my opinion. It's way more Prism in general, like Ghost, This Moment and Birthday in a blender, in terms of the rhythmic, borderline danceable production.

I don’t hear anything resembling Prism on here except for maybe “Smile”. Most everything else has the same 80s/euro sheen Witness has. I think it overall has a similar warm, softer nature that Prism had in its second half (compared to the coldness of Witness), but that’s really it. That’s not to say it sounds exactly like either, but definitely gives me more Witness than any other album of hers.

She said the album is basically an amalgamation of all her albums and that’s pretty much true. Cry and Teary Eyes feel like Witness. Tucked and Daises feel like Teenage Dream. Smile and End of the World sound like Prism era songs. What Makes A Woman is the closest we get to a One of the Boys moment. Harleys is unlike any of her past songs to me. She’s never done that sort of slow groove, low key vibe on that kind of track before. If that makes sense.

Yeah, Harleys is totally new for her, I think. Could see her going down that route more in the future. I don’t not hear shades of other albums here, mainly with certain melodies and her writing style (“Resilient” in particular gives me OOTB), I just personally feel like it’s covered with a Witness blanket, and that style and gloss is what ties everything together to make it cohesive.

I’d be ordering the Japanese edition if I hadn’t just blown $80 on Mariah’s new compilation dd

Champagne Problems also has that chugging, driving rhythm that feels like forward motion. Love the little disco flourishes. I expected to hate this one based on the potato quality clips but it's good. I just wish the chorus was a bit more explosive.
