Absolute mess. They want Dr Luke to drop her so they don't have to pay their way out record deal.

Dr Luke should ditch her and then blacklist her entire family from mainstream radio and promoters.

I'm sure "sources directly connected to Kesha" is Pebe. I mean, obviously.

I'm of two different minds here: 1) If Luke was critical of her weight thats obnoxious and as someone who works so closely with her I think it makes even more distasteful but 2) thats the music business. She knew that getting into it. Its not a coincidence that Kelly Clarkson loses weight every time an album cycle rolls around. I'm not saying its right- its not! But it should not have been a shock to her that record executives would care about how she looks. And when those beach pictures of her came out a few years ago people all over the internet were insanely cruel. I think making Luke the scapegoat in all this is - as Saturdays4Eva kind of said- another ploy to get her out of a record deal.

To be fair though, Kelly Clarkson has said she wants out of mainstream labels and said Clive Davis is a horrible human being. I don't think there's any excuse for men to dictate a woman's appearance.

I completely agree. Like I said, I'm not saying its right at all. Just that it cant have been a surprise.

This whole FREE KE$HA campaign is a nightmare. What Pebe doesn't realise is that it could create a situation where Ke$ha is trapped in a contract, but will be totally unable to release music. I definitely agree that it's a ploy to get out of her contract without having to pay millions of dollars to Dr. Luke.

I think that it's a pretty horrendous charge to level at anyone, and regardless of whether Dr. Luke said it or not, it feels pretty disgusting to use it as business leverage while her daughter's in rehab.

She's always looked more like a refrigerator. No waist, no curves. She has never been able to sing for shit, like Katy Perry. This is more about her falling out with Dr. Luke, who's a track person (i.e. he doesn't write any melodies/lyrics). And her rehab visit is more to do with her ever growing drug intake over the last few years,

If you're famous it's pretty hard to keep things like that secret. It's better just to come out and say it and stop speculation I guess since people will want to assume the worst.

If Free Ke$ha leads to more songs like Last Goodbye being included on albums, and also being released as singles (Because it really would have been a smash) then I don't really care what means she uses to make it happen. I really like some of the ideas she explored with Warrior, but it does seem like it was a bit watered-down to more basic pop sensibilities and pigeonholed her to the caricature the general public created for her. I'll be happy with an album full of Dirty Love and Only Wanna Dance With You or Kiss N Tell and Sleazy, but trying to find a middle-ground between the two of them just doesn't sound good and yields subpar results like Crazy Kids.

It's sad to see her in this situation, because she's lovely and can clearly write a killer song. And as evidenced by 'Timber', if the song's brilliant enough and gets enough groundswell, she can still have a hit. I'm just not sure if there's an easy way out of Dr Luke's situation, but I hope it doesn't end up her being imprisoned in JoJo-esque limbo for years.
