I have not heard the clips and I love Take It Off and Party At A Rich Dude's House-Ke$ha.
I semi like Die Young, sadly. Will I love this?
*Wondering*
So I've just caught up with the leaks.
I'm not really a fan of Die Young, so I thought this album was going to pursue a sound I'm just not on board for. But Warrior and Supernatural totally make up for that! They're brilliantly produced (luv u Cirkut), and it feels like the 2012 upgrade from Animal Ke$ha. I've no worries now at all that this album's going to be a stunner. And, after reminding myself that Ke$ha's Animal Adventures is a thing that exists, I can't wish her anything but the best. She's among my favourites of the pop girls.
You know what's completely endeared her to me? Her Twitter feed, oddly enough. I think she comes across as a really passionate girl who seems to genuinely care. Not an ounce of contrived to be detected. It's very refreshing compared to so many of her peers.
It's like she took what made Party different from Take It Off and expanded that on a bunch of tracks; if Party was pop-rock, a lot of this is rock-pop, or, as Ke$ha says, cock-pop.
The other tracks are her continuing the same pop formula, but, for instance, Warrior sounds a bit cringey in the lyrics because she ends up sounding like that chick Kerli when addressing her fans as "Animals" and calling for a "revolution". Her lyrics bounce from genius (Cut the bullshit out with a dagger) to cringey on the dance tracks we've heard since they feel like numerous attempts at another We R Who We R.
The snippets don't sound like they'll be another Cannibal (Warrior's verses come close) or Blow or Sleazy, but there's some amazing rock-influenced pop jams on this. I would say Die Young and C'Mon and Warrior, maybe Out Alive could be another one, are the dance-pop highlights.
If you liked Pretty Lady, you'll be more likely to like this album based on the snippets.
