I'm gonna sit this one out because the album is out in less than a month, but these comments... ugh. The only thing that's been keeping me sane through this complete nonevent of a rollout was the hope of a fantastic album at the end of it, and now I don't know.
Anyway Red Flag Collector is out next week, and that's the one she was on the fence about including but people told her to put it on the album, so hopefully the reception for that one is actually good.
I also saw on Twitter that she's appearing on a bunch of podcasts in the next few weeks, which... if the plan is to just do that, plus social media livestreams every week, then I give up. (Once again, I understand her reasons for pulling out of The Voice finale, but I don't think there's been even one bit of substantial promo to let people know that she's putting out new music. I genuinely fear for the first-week numbers).

Honestly I’ll be thrilled if this beats Kesha’s Top 190 debut, at this point.
The issue with the studio recording is it's too clean. We don't get the anger in the same way that the live show recording does.

I think with the signed CD’s and vinyl variants she should make the top 100, top 50 is my concern.

This is the first non-Christmas era where there’s been zero UK promo and Radio 1 or Radio 2 haven’t played at least one of the singles. With the writers strike over there she could at least come and do the Radio 2 Piano Room and the One Show/Loose Women type circuit (maybe not This Morning nn). Without it I don’t see the album doing well at all.
The tickets for hers and her team’s flights alone will never be recouped.
I knew the promo was going to either be awful or non-existent, I'm more sad that I'm just not connecting with any of the music. Everything feels very middle-of-the-road and I've had basically zero urgency to return to any of it.
Listened to the 2 new(er) songs today and really enjoyed both. I think I Hate Love May be my favourite of the 4 so far.

i hate love is growing to be my favourite, even with the lacklustre chorus. I just wish it had a video. Even something simple like Kelly smashing lovey dovey stuff with a bat or mallet while Steve plays the banjo looking more and more unnerved.
