Mine is a song that was released this year.
I really thought Kelly had an new imperial phase ahead of her. Obviously not in the way Breakaway was but still with some urge and excitement and some crossover potential.
But then all this happened. Hm.

Hopefully she can at least go on the Today Show or something when she's in NYC for release week dd. My expectations on the promo front are low though.
In other news, I've been loving I Hate Love so much? It's so fun and catchy. That and Mine are definitely my favorites so far, with Mine being #1 (I honestly really love it). I'm really excited to hear Lighthouse, it sounds like that's a (very sad) highlight.

Ok singing randomly throughout LA is actually quite a fun promo idea but… I don’t see any professional cameras? Surely the point should be to create a bit of a buzz online about it through her own social media channels.

‘red flag collector’ is out in NZ and it’s another great song, I’m not sure this would have been a great single but again it feels like a safer choice and one that, again, they could have made a fun music video for.
Red Flag Collector is my favourite of the bunch to be honest and lyrically more in line with what I was expecting this record to be. I actually thing it would've made a great single with a fun music video attached.

Is it just me or is the muddy production all over these tracks making everything sound cheap? Red Flag Collector is a great song but why does it sound like 96kbps?
It’s weird because My December has terrible mastering but it still hits harder than these tracks so far which means the production/mastering is not the only issue here.
It’s disappointing because I was really looking forward to this album. Meaning of Life might not be my favourite but at least it sounded polished and had some massive songs like Medicine, Would You Call That Love, Heat and even Love So Soft. I’m just not connecting with these new songs at all which is weird because every Kelly album usually hits me in a way that feels so relatable.
