'Why hasn't X act been dropped' in 2023 is silly. It's not the 90s, the 00s, deals aren't multimillion ones, acts cost peanuts to stay signed, money can be made in other ways, in short labels don't have the urge to drop acts when they've been doing semi okay. It is bad when you're GRACEY / Claudia Valentina etc because you're dropped without even making a wave, but acts like Kim who can do shows here and there, have streaming hits, are still commercially viable won't get dropped easily, or like labels got rid of acts the second their single didn't make the Top 5 in 2002. Also Kim writes stuff, her publishing will keep her afloat for a while.
