I'm so happy for her... What a moment!
I absolutely love “brrr” and all its glaring imperfections. Those raunchy adlibs at the end, are an aural highlight at the gym!

Her speech was very moving. I hate many of the ignorant things she has done and I cannot give her a pass for continually supporting abusers, but I am also cognizant of the fact that a transgender person winning a mainstream award is a huge moment. I can only hope she does better moving forward because she clearly is sticking around.
Exactly how I feel, thank you... she gets a lot of hate and I'm not here to defend her, but all I will say is I think every single one of us would be shocked with things our faves have said/done whether 3 min. or 23 years ago... very interesting when each of us has to look at our own way of "separating art from the artist" and the semantics of when said behavior happened and if it affects current art and vice versa... I mean Kim stans Paris and I legit cannot stand her behavior (and you also won't see me going off about Paris in a fan thread like I see with others...) just some thoughts I guess...
I mean, she has shown how vile of a person she is numerous times. She goes out of her way to say ignorant shit and she actively boosts / works with abusers. Most of my faves do not do that and they would not be my fave if they did. I wanted to acknowledge the nuances of the situation but let me be clear in saying it was no way a pass for her past.
I just don't think Kim is that good. Period. She got really lucky with Sam in her corner because I still don't see it for her long-term, but something is clearly working behind the scenes in her favor, so ~break barriers~, I guess. The downgrade in basic quality from someone like Sophie to... that, is just laughable. She looks frumpy, every interview is headache-inducing, the music continues to erode into absolute slop... It's hard to clap for this quality of representation. I don't even actively dislike her, she just does absolutely nothing for me as an artist.

Unholy is not a strike of luck for Kim as far as I'm concerned, yes maybe in success, but that song just took off on Tiktok in a way I don't think anyone expected. She has much better music thank Unholy.
