Kim Petras - "brrr" + General Discussion

These are cute bops but she needs to carve out a bit more of an identity - she wears her influences a bit tooo much on her sleeve to the point where it feels a bit anonymous. I Don't Want It At All is that BOP though.

When is an album though

She said the songs will eventually make up an album as part of her deal with Spotify. There won’t be an actual body of work, at least for now.

And is there a rough release date / month / year in mind for the LP?

We’re going for a pretty unique roll out with Spotify. We’re going to release one song a month until the record completes itself. I’m so excited about it.

I mean to be fair I’ll go with one song a month considering she’s not a chart presence. It’s better than s number of other artists who end up giving us a single or two a year.

Me harassing my friendz about "Hillside Boys":

Can't believe she is German, I just figured she was a California IT girl. Her image bamboozled me for months.
Hills has been on repeat to the point my neighbours are probably unintentionally humming that shit.
I need a Liz duet considering they are friends.

I'm obsessed. I loved "Slow It Down" the minute I heard it, and then everything else she'd released before it. But for some reason, "Hillside Boys" hit me hard this weekend. I was in the Apple Store, splurged on some AirPods, and it sounded magical.

Come through, Jake!

That chord progression paired with those lyrics is quite a bit much. It's like a melancholy "Let's Hear it For the Boy" or something.
