Kim Wilde

I’ve just emailed Banquet asking for an update, honestly it’s ridiculous it wasn’t dispatched last week, it definitely would’ve impacted the chart position, people cancelled their Cherry Red orders for the personally signed edition.
Banquet are very slow in posting things out, as I found last year with the Fleetwood Mac set they had on offer.

Email at 5:15PM today stating my personally-dedicated vinyl has been dispatched from Banquet.

It’s a gift for a March birthday, but that delay from last week is still pretty lax.

He/Him
I got an email stating:
“Delayed. We're chasing up an issue with the supplier.”

How can there be a delay? Didn’t she sign them on the premises?

I also received that e-mail from Banquet yesterday. How can they have issues with getting these in stock when Kim signed them on the spot? The signed CD arrived earlier this week though.

They probably oversold the amount signed, or maybe Kim was supposed to return to sign more but scheduling conflicts have resulted in the delay.

I’d held off commenting on Closer till I’d given it a reasonable thrashing. Here Comes The Aliens is a very special album to me, so it would be hard to match. Yours Til The End is just the best song of the last 10 years for me. The lead off duo of Pop Don’t Stop and Kandy Krush were just magical and Trail, Midnight don’t come close, despite being good songs.

It is a great album though and Ricky and Kim are to be given all the plaudits for still consistently delivering great pop hooks. I can’t think of any of my favourite artists who still deliver 40 years on tbh. However, Rocket to the Moon is incroyable and in a different world would be #1 for a bloody long time.

Just came from her gig in Gothenburg. She f*cking killed it, she continues to impress me. Her live vocals were even better this time around. The new tracks went OFF. And hearing Close in its entirety live was even more special than I had thought.

What a night.

Kim is one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen Kim live so many times).
Me too, I think this was #12. This was close to her Koko and La Cigale gigs back in 18. Powerhouse. Lighthouse and Trail of Destruction were unexpected highlights.

She should consider forgetting all about Four Letter Word though, its a good song but disastrous live.

Im really looking forward to hearing You'll be the one who'll lose live.
Hoping a new single will be pushed soon to tie in with the tour. Love is Love hopefully, or Scorpio or Rocket.
All great choices but I am sure I read somewhere that Lighthouse was the next single. Which I adore too.
