I really have nothing against Lorde. Lovely dancing, beautiful dancing, but she has no business occupying the entire Top 10. I'm willing to take the lashings on this one.

I only handed out 10s to songs that I thought truly deserved to win except for one and 9.5s to songs that were just about there. There's a lot of stuff left that I really love, but I honestly think Lorde was the only one to reach that level of excellence last year and she did so consistently throughout her album. She won't totally occupy the top 10 or maybe event most of the top 20, but I think she should as extra as that sounds.

My favorite thing about "Malibu" is that throughout the whole song it sounds like there are two Mileys performing the same song except one is in a different room screaming all the lyrics just to make sure she's slightly heard in the background.
