Just watched the cover version of 'How Ya Doing' by new boyband Kingsland and felt like I had to share!!!

Any excuse to be able to mention a boyband but I generally like these guys, something about the video draws me in.

They release their first single, "Dirty Dancer", on 17th August. Hopefully it's better than that Rough Copy mess.

They've also set up a PledgeMusic campaign for that and their debut album at http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/kingslandroad, so it doesn't look like they're signed unfortunately.

I was one of the very few people who liked these guys on X Factor. I thought they had star quality and I was gutted when they left so early on in the competition. I hope the single is good and matches the energy they have.

Good build up with the verses but the chorus is a bit disappointing. Good overall though, certainly better than Union J's latest.

This song REALLY reminds me of a specific song that was probably released back in that 2006/7 era of shite 'indie' bands hitting it big.

Edit: No they aren't Northern, one of them is from Wolverhampton and that's as Northern as they get. Ugh.

I really didn't like them on The X Factor and thought they were a bit of a charisma vacuum but I actually really like this. I don't think they'll have much success but I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm the complete opposite. I really liked the boys on X Factor, however I'm not feeling this single. It's bland and poorly produced. They're fun guys so they needed an upbeat track to express their personalities and make people take notice.

I commend them on continuing after the show though. Most groups who don't do reach the finals usually call it a day.
