The way I was literally just coming in here to say this same exact thing dddHappy 25th anniversary, queen! "This weekend" is a nice breezy feel good song. It could've been a little more imaginative, but at least it's better than most songs on "UNICORN", ddd.
Yes, but those were released 10+ years ago, when those collection were more appropriate and had some rare or new stuff on them. Out Works was amazing for a big Kumi fan. She should've repeated that instead and gathered all her collabs from the past years instead. It’s reminding me of Outworks & Collaborations: Best / BEST: Bounce & Lovers / Summer/Winter Of Love, which makes it only slightly easier to swallow. I see it at least has the full-length “BLACK WINGS” and “UNICORN” so I’ll get it for those (despite not picking up the releases that have their truncated versions).
I fully agree with this. I don’t know why she didn’t do a second part by now.Out Works was amazing for a big Kumi fan. She should've repeated that instead and gathered all her collabs from the past years instead.

Okay, they lost it. Who asked for yet another best? And the concept is as whack and tired as it can be, just to try and sell this to anyone. We get some random ass selection of songs "voted for fans", we get a full version of "UNICORN", we get something scary called "LIVE IN METAVERSE" and "re-vamped" versions of some songs, which probably be worse, than the original and on top of that we get more unnecessary remixes and a bunch of live performances that aren't even rare. Not to mention the AI-looking artwork.
I'm laughing so hard at this. This release is so 15 years ago, it's ridiculous.
I think they might have been polling the fans that went to her show and it's apparent that the Japanese fans taste differ from the Western ones, so something like "JUICY" will never appear on a release like this.I fully agree with this. I don’t know why she didn’t do a second part by now.
I do think she may have exhausted herself creatively and is just keeping on. Her last few releases have seemed like her on autopilot and this re-recording/compilation of “fan faves” (what fans chose “Crank Tha Bass feat.OVDS” and “show girl”? And again with the “JUICY” erasure?) doesn’t change my mind that she’s lost in what to do.
Don't you have most of these song in some form already? I really can't justify buying this. It's a cashgrab for the diehard fans with some cheap tactics trying to cover the lack of exclusive content.I actually kinda love how bonkers and random this release is, especially the disc 2 tracklist. I'm a huge Dance in the Rain fan, and show girl, Shhh, and Step into My World are faves of mine too, and then the whole idea of the revamped versions of the first disc songs is appealing to me so....I might just buy this. Sorry @evilsin but your bestie is a sucker for this shit.
