Tina burn that video to the ground tho we do not see it!

Memoria's messy ass can only say: "Gun rights!"
OK. Also, EKKO Music Rights.

Or here (https://ekkomusicrights.com/news/releases/gwsn-the-keys/).

This cute video with Lena talking (in English) about things (V Live style)
and her English is nice (she studied in US).
Singing "Bazooka!", "Tweaks~", "Wonderboy".

Alternate MV of "Bazooka!" (directed by GWSN members)

"What is the 'Gee oh two one' anyway?," Empty Shoebox questions. "Sounds like a graphics card or something.
Yes it does sound like that. "G-021" and it is similar to something like GeForce 021 120, or (GeForce) GT 120.
Real answer for comparison:
G is for first letter of GWSN or "Girls in the Park". 021 is like GWSN motto, and means "0 to 1" (2="to").
For example GWSN has song named "RED-SUN(021)".
"0 to 1" - to start as zero and together as a group to become one. Also there is meaning for being together forever.
GW in GWSN is "Gongwon". "Gong" in Korean = "zero". "Won" = "one" in English, but written in Hangul etc.
Like IZ*ONE is 아이즈 (aijeuwon). In other words, "GW"="01".
"G-021" is model of bazooka, in 3:21 in MV we can see astronaut image with small "G021" on bazooka.

Speaking of "Tweaks ~ Heavy cloud but no rain", I should say, that main composer here is Andreas Öberg, he is also famous composer.
I just cant tell right now, which song by him as main composer is best and definitive, to give an immediate example.
And maybe I'm obsessed with Daniel "Obi" Klein and Charli Taft, who composed "Tweaks~" with Andreas Öberg.
Anyway,

Line distribution (although I support these vocalists, who got their lines, too) led to individual Miya version to become kinda memetique.

And maybe I'm obsessed with Daniel "Obi" Klein and Charli Taft, who composed "Tweaks~" with Andreas Öberg.

Again, some of Klein and Taft songs:
Girls' Generation - "Lips"

Taemin - "Ace" (not main composers).

Red Velvet - "Automatic"

"Cool Hot Sweet Love",
"Look",
"Perfect 10",
"Time Slip",
IRENE & SEULGI - "Diamond" (Klein and Öberg only)
Kim Lip (LOOΠΔ) - "Eclipse",

Choerry & JinSoul - "Puzzle"
S.E.S. - "Hush" (probably main composers in team were Teddy Riley, Lee Hyun-seung and DOM, but I hear something. Also, it is interesting, that after "Automatic", related to "Be Natural" (which is originally by S.E.S.), Klein and Taft worked on S.E.S. song)

EXO - "Boomerang" (Klein only)
SuperM – "Step Up"
some songs, which Charli Taft performs herself:
Charli Taft - "Love Like You" (for SM Station)

and Charli Taft - "Up Next"

And another KPJC top 5 bites the dust today. We say goodbye to Hyolyn's lone rate entry, the reggae-tinged Say My Name. It was written by Hyolyn herself and composed by Hyolyn, Melanie Fontana, Cali Rodi and Michel "Lindgren" Schulz. This was the title track of Hyolyn's second mini album of the same name which contained some of Hyolyn's past singles like Dally, See Sea, Bae and 9Lives.

2020 was a busy time for the kween. After a particularly dry 2019 for Hyolyn (I still don't understand what the fuck happened then), she released three singles and a mini album in 2020. She released Hug Me Silently which I don't think anyone even remembers except maybe @eliminathan, 9Lives which she performed during one Good Girl episode, and of course, Say My Name. Of these songs, I will say that 9Lives was my favourite but Say My Name is cute too. It's the return of Thotlyn and that's always a reason for celebration.

After following up her last 2019 single Bae with ballad after ballad after ballad (again, I don't know what the fuck was the reason for this), Hyolyn finally shut the Rainbow Community up and gave them everything they want with the release of Say My Name. Hyolyn has one of the sexiest everything in K-Pop. Sexy body, sexy voice, sexy persona - she just breathes sex. And so sexy tracks like Say My Name are always, ALWAYS a win for her. Her vocals on Say My Name are the very definition of hot. The way she goes for the high and low notes like a fucking MVP like it's the easiest thing to do... yes, she's shitting on our untalented faves. Good for her.

So why did I only give this an 8.25? Well, I'm glad you asked because I have a stupid reason behind that score ffffff. Well, it was December 2020 and I was on the process of making my Best of 2020 K-Pop Songs list and of course, I included Say My Name in the draft playlist. But I noticed that whenever I played my draft playlist on shuffle, Say My Name would always be played... out of, like, 200+ songs ffffff. It made me love Say My Name less and I was kinda starting to feel like there was some sort of Spotify payola going on ffffff. So yeah, that was the reason why I couldn't give this a higher score. Sorry to my bestie @eliminathan. Please don't kill me.

Wills is here to avenge ONF's Sukhumvit Swimming's early demise: "Obviously this will fare better than the other reggae-lite track in the rate, but I find this lifeless by comparison. Not helped by the squandered potential of her 2018 imperial era, either." And Vixen is here to avenge ANS' Say My Name's early demise: "Not the best 'Say My Name' in the rate, let's just say that!" YATHHHH FIGHT! eccentricsimply compares Say My Name to the fucking Holy Bible of Thot Anthems: "She's cute but she's no Dally is she?" And Memoria is back with her K-Comeback Coroner hot takes: "I'm bored and miss 2nd gen K-pop."

"I love Hyolyn," clowezra begins and you just know a dragging is about to happen. "But this sounds like pretty much any other Side To Side island jam moment. An extra half point for that beaut middle 8 though." Ok fair. boombazookajoe calls for non-generic reggae bops: "I love her voice and the harmonies, but the generic Reggae beat couldn't be MORE generic." And Empty Shoebox seems in deep problem: "Genuinely could not understand how this made it here on chart success, given that the song is just...lacking. Then I looked it up and realised that if it wasn't for this we would have had JYP and his plastic trousers instead. Nobody wants that." Well, I remember some people dragging Say My Name for beating that JYP song ffffff.

evilsin is imagining a Russian summer: "The island-tinge is always welcome. A pretty nice relaxing number overall that would be perfect for a summer day at the beach." Yeziirl screams at me: "queen of summer!" Thank you, that's so nice of you to say. Joli Chat appreciates Hyolyn's visuals: "Sounds pretty good, she looks very pretty!" Rainbow Trousers takes it further by adding: "Hyolyn is fucking hot." Tea. Also salivating at the sight of Hyolyn is Salami: "This song doesn’t seem to get talked about too much but I think vocally it’s one of my favourites. And she’s so stunning, I could watch her all day." ohnostalgia confuses me with this comment but lemme put it in this paragraph too: "The MV - hmmmmmmmmmmm." Is that a good hmmmmmmmmmmm, bestie?

"Wait, how did I miss this?," Crisp X complains. "A breezy reggae pop bop!" Maybe you weren't a KPJC voter back then, unnie? The chorus stays lodged in aux's brain: "The chorus is catchy as fuck." And OspreyQueen appreciates the effort put into Say My Name: "I’m not a huge fan of when pop songwriters try to emulate reggae by just putting a guitar riff on every offbeat and call it a day, but I appreciate that this song has a LITTLE bit more effort put into its rhythms. It’s a fun summery bop."

Last comment for Say My Name is from RUNAWAY who calls it: "an eleven contender. She fucking slayed 2020. She delivered 9LIVES, this song, Morning Call, and helped me rediscover Bae and See Sea (along with Dally but tbh that song has never left my playlist dddd.) What a QUEEN." Indeed.

December 2020 finally loses its first song as we bid adieu to Taeyeon's What Do I Call You. This is the title track of Taeyeon's fourth mini album of the same name. What Do I Call You was written by Kenzie and composed by Linnea Södahl, Caroline Pennell and David Pramik. This was a minor hit for Taeyeon as it peaked at number 14 on the Gaon Digital Chart. Yes, number 14 is only a minor hit for Taeyeon if you can believe it. She's normally a top 5 Gaon charter.

I... kinda overscored this, I'm not gonna lie. If we were rating this now, I'd probably give this, like, an 8.5. I still think What Do I Call You is a solid Taeyeon single and definitely a step-up from the travesty that was Happy. I love the vibe she's going for here. A lot of y'all say this was giving y'all major Ariana vibes and I don't exactly hear that? To me, What Do I Call You is more K-indie/R&B/alternative. I can definitely hear Heize or Hoody on this, or even someone like HA:TFELT. So in that way, I like that Taeyeon keeps me on my toes. I legit don't know what she'll serve every time she makes a comeback. Love me some surprise!

I also love the understated vocals. I feel like Taeyeon didn't really release a vocally-challenging single in 2020? Correct me if I'm wrong though. Dear Me, while a ballad, wasn't exactly like a huge belter like Fine was. And What Do I Call You doesn't feature crazy vocals too. I like that. This is not the type of song that really needs those patented Taeyeon high notes anyway. But I feel like What Do I Call You didn't age well. It's not that it sounds dated because it definitely does not. I guess it's just not something that I'd like to listen to these days, you know what I'm saying? It's competent, sure, but not exactly the most exciting serve. It's cute.

And you know what? I believe Taeyeon has released far better material than What Do I Call You in 2020. Once again, I am here to stan the likes of Worry Free Love and Drawing Our Moments and I believe at least the former should be in the rate too. It's the type of sound I want Taeyeon to tackle more. What I'm saying is I need another bop from Taeyeon. Please grant my wish, kween!

Wills stands up for Taeyeon's ballads: "Yeeeaaah, this confirms I just really prefer Taeyeon’s ballads - these tepid mid-tempos do nothing for me." Stream Drawing Our Moments, bestie. eccentricsimply also speaks for us ballad lovers: "I appreciate Taeyeon's coffee shop music because I feel like she's a good enough singer to add More to it but I still.... wish she'd release either her straight up ballads or stuff like Something New, both of which I prefer!" Memoria calls this: "Not bad but weak by her standards." Yeah, for sure. Empty Shoebox is whelmed: "It doesn't matter. I never answer from numbers I don't recognise. The song isn't bad, the word that comes to mind is 'unnecessary'. It gives me nothing that I can't get anywhere else."

OspreyQueen offers some faint praise: "It’s got a lot more life in it than most trap-influenced K-Pop I’ll give it that." Love Deluxe does too: "This is Taeyeon at her most gp-pandering, it's lovely cafe music fodder though." This is shady of you, unnie omfg. Joli Chat answers Taeyeon's question: "Joli Chat, but you can call me Yessika." Bye. ohnostalgia surprised me with her stannage for this track?: "I love sad breezy music from Taeyeon." clowezra admits: "This is the most I’ve enjoyed a Taeyeon title track since Something New, oop. Every hook here is a joy to listen to." So I'm guessing you tanked my 11 on the Taeyeon Discography Rate, ugh. And roblognick finally found a Taeyeon solo they like: "This is not my type of song AT ALL and despite being a mad SNSD fan I never got into Taeyeon's solo stuff much. This song however is lovely and it has such an addictive quality to it." Well, let's celebrate that!

Lastly, let's go to the girls who are pushing the Taeyeon x Ariana agenda, as they should. aux screams at me: "I’m screaming at Taeyeon emulating Ariana better than Ariana emulates herself." evilsin decides to shade the new The Voice US judge: "Ariana, but make it KPop. No, but this is better than anything on Ari's latest album. Taeyeon's ability to convey emotions with her beautiful voice is unparalleled." Hmm, lemme keep quiet because I have no time fighting with Ari stans today fffff. And lastly, here's RUNAWAY who says: "love love LOVE this song so much. Yes, it’s Taeyeon doing Ariana, but it’s absolutely amazing. She just keeps getting better."
