Whew the shame that washed over me when I realized that I am a disappointment not only to my family but also to strangers on the internet. As a C-list shitposter on this forum, I recognize that I failed to rise to the occasion and carry out my responsibilities, and for that I apologize sincerely. I'm shocked and relieved and confused and overjoyed that the correct song came out on top for once. I could cry. Congratulations to 'Kick It' by NCT 127 for snatching not one but two 2020 crowns! Deserved, truly. Neo Zone came when the pandemic was just beginning to swing into high gear for me, and when the world was looking fucking scary it was the perfect package of escapism with its throwback sound and aesthetics. Part of the magic of that album was the airtight promotional rollout; from the b-side track videos and accompanying chart show to the auxiliary variety content, that month leading up to 'Kick It' was stacked. You had to be there. The one thing that could have elevated the song was if they gagged us with a Winwin reveal, and the new thangs they spoke of were his owed lines and screentime. Sadly, we have to make do with the fact that we are in the darkest timeline because it doesn't seem like he's getting any in WayV either. Sad! Anyways, what else is there to say but, yes, sometimes dreams do come true.
