I'm fine with After LIKE leaving now, but if Love Dive doesn't make it to top 5, Lisa Rinna m&m WILL haunt you in your dreams.

Initially I definitely thought it would do a bit better (lower Top 5), but seeing so many people calling for it and clearly stating they prefer 'Love Dive' did make me second-guess myself ddd, so the elimination is not as shocking as it could have been.
Also I'm just glade 'INVU' gets to live another day.

After Like is another one of those songs where I’m like…how could you not think it’s perfect? Genuinely shocking, but glad it made top 10!
Re KARA, they really are the OGs and are absolute legends-I don’t think When I Move quiiite reaches their peak core sound but it’s a huge ass bop however you look at it. Really hope it inspires them to put out more comebacks!

I do not perceive these "sample is carrying" comments. I feel like the song itself is already pretty strong, and the sample is more just the cherry on top. Of course, the sample is brilliant, but it really could have been any 15-second reprieve between the rolling avalanche of the verse-bridge-chorus sections and I still think this would be one of the best songs of last year.

I have nothing against the girls personally, but IVE are definitely an example of the forum's taste and my taste simply not aligning, because I can't get the hype. I do think that After LIKE is better than Love Dive by a little, but mostly ... I'm just grateful ddd. I really thought this was a shoe-in for top 5.

But also, if we're being honest, if that exact same song had been released by pretty much any other artist it'd have been eliminated about 50 spots ago at best (if it even made the rate in the first place).

You really think so? Because its' closest sister musically is Breathin'/Into You by Ariana and those are both 11 out of 10s/Top 15 in her discography worthy. It's a beautiful voice singing a gorgeous melody over hauntingly beautiful production. Like, Girls on Top got curb stomped earlier in this rate, I really don't think these SM girlies get away with favoritism as much as some may think they do -- this is just a genuinely great song.

I see your point, but maybe the match between Taeyeon and the song actually gives the it factor?
I mean yes, a lot of K-Pop artists could release something in this field of genre but in INVU's case, it's perfectly tailored for Taeyeon imho, and it might not have worked with other (definitely, no doubt) talented artists.
