Rooftop is the lead single of YooA's first single album, Borderline. It was composed by Song Heejin and MOGT with lyrics written by Seo Ji Eum. Rooftop did not enter the main Circle Digital Chart but it did peak and debut at number 27 on the component Download Chart.
As a (former??) huge ass Oh My Girl stan, it's really annoying to me that the group takes LIFETIMES to make their group comebacks. Thankfully, we have Miss YooA to distract us with her well-timed solo endeavours. With three solo efforts now under her belt, I feel like she has really blossomed as a soloist and found her lane, so to speak. I will say, however, that Rooftop is my least favourite of her solos. But that's only because I have come to expect such greatness from her. Rooftop is still good... but we know YooA is capable of so much more.
I really like the early 2000s overall vibe of Rooftop and I think it's a sound that YooA should exploit more. She sounds right at home. I also don't mind her rapping? I mean, she's not, like, amazing as a rapper but it's a nice little new addition to her arsenal. I do agree with some of the comments that the chorus is severely lacking. I feel like it belongs to a different song? I don't know; it just never fully clicked with me. She should've chosen Love Myself as the single instead. Now that's a song with a stomper of a chorus. I'll link the song below just because hehe~

from is the last single released by fromis_9 as an eight-member girl group and as a Pledis Entertainment act. It was composed by member Hayoung, Jeon Jin (PRISMFILTER) and Heon Seo with lyrics written by all eight members of fromis_9. It peaked at number 198 on the Circle Digital Chart.
Sigh....... where do I even begin? Pledis and HYBE, you will begin coughing in three days! No but seriously, thinking about the struggles of fromis_9 under the hands of these incompetent agencies just make me wanna scream my lungs out so for my mental health's sake, let me just focus on the song, from, for now.
Okay, for a fan song, from is definitely on the better side of things. It's absolutely not fromis_9's best song ever, that's for sure. But it's still a lovely little song to listen to every time it comes on shuffle. It helps that the fromis_9 girlies are SINGERS WHO SING and their vocals are shining on from. I don't understand Korean but I definitely feel the girls' emotions just from listening to the girls' very emotive vocals.

It was written by Uhm Ji-Su (LaLa Studio) and composed by Lewis Gardiner, Ryan Lawrie, Emily Middlemas and Musikality. It was later included in Chuu's second mini album, Strawberry Rush. Chocolate did not enter the main Circle Digital Chart but it peaked at number 27 on the component Download Chart.
For some reason, I really thought Chocolate was written for an ad. It has thatcheap jingle quality to it... which is the main reason I couldn't really justify giving it a higher score. To me, Chocolate sounds like a second-rate Cupid... and I'm not even that into the original Cupid.
Still, you can't deny the star power of Chuu because she absolutely elevates this song. Fantastic vocals as per usual (that gigantic high note, slay!) and I actually don't mind the first rap. I mean, how can someone hate the line, "I'm the queen and you like King Kong"? Iconique! The second rap though (the one in the middle 8), I could really do without. So yeah, I thought Chocolate was cute but definitely beneath Chuu's talent. Time to snatch Loossemble's songwriters, unnie!

I can't be mad at from leaving so early cause I can only imagine that Supersonic will be Top 20, right? RIGHT?! I do think there are other songs that could've gone first, but I guess my taste just doesn't align with everyone else's this year.
