Honestly, considering people had been calling for it all the time I pretty much knew NA's days were numbered when I posted that, so I was expecting the quote sooner or later nn. Between my two superblooms Full moon was basically the one for the arts and NA the one for the charts. I do prefer the former, but the latter is just a really fun bop, which is sometimes all you need, something some of those present clearly can't appreciate.

My top 3 superbloom picks were actually Supernova Love, Rockstar and Inner Dance, but Rockstar made the top 5 in December, and Supernova Love and Inner Dance were saved by other people (thank you @ysev and, I guess, @Phonetics Girl), so Full moon and NA were my 4th/5th alternatives. Hope at least the remaining two of these make it a bit longer.

The female soloists can breathe easy for now as we're gonna eliminate songs by groups in the next three eliminations. For tonight, we say goodbye to the first of three Khia Kiss of Life songs, Igloo.

Igloo is taken from Kiss of Life's third mini album, Lose Yourself. It was written and composed by Hiss Noise and Arineh. Despite not being the single, Igloo turned out to be the biggest hit of the Lose Yourself era. It reached number 26 on the Circle Digital Chart, outpeaking the actual single, Get Loud, which only reached number 106. Talent!

Igloo wasn't the single. It also wasn't the pre-release single (that one was the beautiful R.E.M). I think it was just the song that Kiss of Life chose to perform alongside Get Loud for their comeback stages. And yet, it was the one that clicked with the general public. The combination of the cunty choreography (the tongue!) and the look (the iconique sunglasses!) really made Igloo Kiss of Life's second-best performing of the year, just behind the mega-hit Sticky.

I fully admit the various TikToks and Instagram Reels where K-Pop idols did the Igloo choreography were the ones that really got me into the song. On my first few listens, I thought Igloo was good but not great. But the song really does come alive when it's coupled with... hot people doing the choreo, kii! I'm not sorry!

No but Igloo, while admittedly far from Kiss of Life's best, is still pretty good. We already know the girls are great in R&B and with Igloo, they showed that they can effectively deliver on more hip-hop-leaning tracks too. The lyrics don't always make sense but Kiss of Life delivers them so confidently that I have no choice but to stan. And of course, my girl Belle always, always delivers vocally. And she didn't even have to do high notes to prove that! Kween!

I feel like Kiss of Life are gonna announce a comeback anytime soon and I really won't be shocked if they decide to make Igloo the template for the title song. Just make sure the new single is longer than Igloo, unnies!​

I think it works as it does because it's not a title track (like aespa's Illusion, for example) and it's free to exist without the burden of carrying an entire era."
