Kylie: K25 Releases and Events.

A lost SAW album from the summer of 1990, which would have come out on the back of Better The Devil You Know and featured all SAW compositions, which was shelved when Kylie demanded to (help) write her own material and we ended up with Rhythm Of Love 6 months later.

(I can dream!).

I don't understand Rhythm Is Love is amaze. Why would you want anything less?

EDIT: Ok so an album's worht of Better The Devil standard rave pop would be rather close to perfection.

Ha, that's exactly what I meant...Rhythm Of LOve remains my favourite Kylie album, but, you know, it could have been so much better if all the album were of the SAW-penned quality. And it hadn't got swamped by the 1990 pre-Xmas rush of Greatest Hits albums.

Can you imagine if it was a Madonna duet? CAN YOU? I would douse myself in paraffin, light a match and do a celebratory dance in the flames.

The good news is that Madonna clearly has skin-regenerating abilities. Maybe she'd share the secrets with you.

I'm not sure if she would want to make her own celebration 50% about another artist.

Yeah I agree that would be a bit stupid.

Kylie is dope enough on her own. She doesn't need Madonna.

Will there be a tribute concert at which this Madonna thing might happen?

The thing about having another celebrity in for your tribute is that I imagine you would want someone who is famous enough, to make you look like you are more famous than the star paying tribute, but not too famous, for fear of being overshadowed. And then, on top of that, you would want someone who could be competent, but who was also untalented enough that people remembered that they were YOUR songs, and that your talent was unquestionable, etc.

Basically what I'm saying is Kelly Rowland is going to be in high demand this year. Mariah already booked her for something, no?

Well I'll just cling onto that glittering peace of dim hope on my own then.
You are so not alone my darling.

The thing about big name collaborations like that is that there's always so much expectation that people inevitably end up thinking the song's a bit shit, but then it becomes underrated and I always end up loving it (Me Against The Music has to be the best example) so Kylie vs Madonna on one song would obviously be (a) hated and (b) brilliant.

Part of me wishes for that too.. but then I realize she only had two albums since her last one, making for about 4 potential songs to add. If she does a new one I'd quite like her to mix up the old and new stuff like happened on Celebration.
I know it's random, but I prefer that to having 'all the Stock Aitken & Waterman... oh, and then a few other.. singles' on one disc, and the rest on another.

i'm wishing for a brand new Best Of / Greatest Hits album

I'm seeing a few posts for a Greatest Hits....Really, ANOTHER one, she got criticised in the past for keep churning these out, and as Mvnl says, not enough new material to make it worthwhile for fans.

No, the orchestral album will be the looking back bit, I'm just hoping for a new material for looking forward, even if it is more the tail end of the year...

Yeah she should deffo swerve the idea of another bog standard hits compilation. I was a little bored by the idea of the orchestral album at first but since hearing a few snippets of work from it I'm quite looking forward to it now and think it is a wonderful idea for a retrospective look back on her career. Kylie's songs are generally done to death and they are all amazingly popular in their original forms so it's gonna be nice to hear a different take on them all. Just gaggin' for news of new music really....

She should release those hundreds of unreleased songs she's got from over the years. On multiple CD's (or iTunes). I'd kill to hear all the X sessions (Acid Min, Singing In My Sleep, the other stuff with Calvin Harris, and the stuff with DAFT PUNK and GROOVE ARMADA!!!!).

I don't think we need another Greatest Hits right now or another Remix album it's not been that long since the last ones. Unless it was a Greatest Hits and Remix album including all the singles from PWL, DeConstrution and Parlophone it would have to be something really special to mark 25 years.

I think the Orchestral album and a new studio album will be enough or an Rarities album it would be amazing to hear all those demos properly mastered.

It's quite obvious that Kylie isn't going to re-record every single single (ha..) for the orchestral rewords disc, but there's not much of a market for it, is there? Perhaps it's a bonus CD along with the regular GH.
Fan edition with all the singles and the orchestral disc and standard edition being selected singles and the orchestral disc?

And I hope hope hope that new music coming. I think it's a bit silly to celebrate the past without celebrating the future.
