Kylie: K25 Releases and Events.

Its all very promising, she has lots she can do.

Has she had time to recored a brand new studio album? I don't think she has, unless they mash together a load of Aphrodite/X rejects.
But if they were to go down that route they might as well make it a full on unreleased tracks from the last 10 years album.

Collaborations would be awesome. I hope that she's not going to kick off with an announcement that she's working with Madonna, as MVNL said, it would just take attention away from Kylie.
I reckon the Orchestral album could be out as soon as April, so it could be that....

Apparently there's a fashion project in the works with 25 designers recreating 25 iconic Kylie looks and outfits for Stylist magazine - this coming from someone on Sayhey who apparently works within Jean-Paul Gaultier.

This is supposed to coincide with London Fashion Week which is in mid-February so I guess it does coincide with the "soon" Kylie mentioned on twitter. If it's true, of course.

A 12 track or so Orchestral album could actually be amazing, particularly if it was just the 12 biggest hits but ones that really lent themselves to big, swirling Will Orbitesque productions. Like, proper reimaginings and not 'oh look, I'm doing this as a swing number' crap.

When is the official K25 anniversary considered as for her career? Another GH is a bit soon since there hasn't been enough good material since the last one of justify it. B-side would be amazing as a second disc to something else. Frankly, all I really want as a fan for life is for her to start laying off the 'tox enough for her to be able to move her face for it all. It really distracts me from how amazing she is. Plus, I still can't comprehend that I live in a world where Dannii is the 'natural' one. It's like 1995-2000 never happened..

She was in the studio a lot at the end of last year, and general consensus (from tweeted photos etc) was that this was the recording of the orchestral album, so this could well be in the can waiting to go. I could easily see them having recorded a new song (or even Flower, White Diamond!) in the same style and releasing it as a lead / promotional single. How successful would this be, I have no idea, but it does feel much more a indulgence project anyway, and who knows, it could hit a niche...

I would concur that she’ll be too busy to record a whole new studio album, but she’s open now to modern release strategies so what’s wrong with popping in the studio for a couple of singles for the latter part of the year before recording the actual album later. Calvin Harris has an album coming this year too, so fingers crossed there!!

That fashion week idea sounds very cool too, something different.

I want to see lots and lots of fashion magazine covers this year, and iconic ones. But Kylie, if you’re reading this, please please please pay for a professional photographer!!

I cant see a new album being part of this, there just hasnt been the time to all the A&R, concepting, call out to writers that normally happens with an artist the magnitude of Kylie. Its really not that long since her last tour. Thats not to say she might not have some demos she has rerecorded, but a full album of new material is surely very unlikely.

She does have such a massive collection of unreleased stuff, especially collobrations with a vertitable who's who of pop. Fair enough, their is a reason why some of it hasnt come out (because its rubbish) but there must be something salvagable. Kylie fans would snap it up. I heard some of the Milo stuff and it was actually pretty amazing.

I can see the tour being with a full orcshestra, maybe in amazing venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Eden Project, Sydney Opera House etc (meaning relatively small venues and PRIMO ticket prices) The set is likely to be peppered with fan favs and mega hits.

1) A complete singles box set of the PWL, DeContruction and Parlophone years à la Girls Aloud (with every mix, b-side etc).
2) Each album reissued in its original form with a second disc of demos, rarities etc.
3) An orchestral double album of greatest hits and more (Flower...).
4) The "anti-tour"
5) At the end of the year, a new single of a 2013 album of new material.

6) At some point a tv special with some duets.
7) In may, climbing the Cannes marches for the Leos Carax film.

I seem to remember someone posting a call out from her A&R d for submissions naming I Believe in You, All The Lovers and some of the soppier Cheryl Cole (!!) tracks (Promise This i think) as reference points...

It was Parachute and it was me who posted it, it said something like they were looking for more organic sounding pop songs, which kind of makes me think they were maybe looking for new songs to record with the full orchestra for the orchestral album...god Im soooo exzcited at the prospect of this!!

I'd imagine if they wanted to do it well, an orchestral album and mini tour around the time of the 25th anniversary of the Australian 'Locomotion' and a full new album around the time of the 25th anniversary of the 'Kylie' album. That keeps her in the public eye but isn't overkill, and that's how she seems to like it these days.

Beside Dannii, I can' see any link between Kylie's and Cheryl's pop world : thank god they're worlds apart, and if Kylie should really take inspiration from a Girl Aloud, I wish she'd choose Nicola.

So no, I don't think Parachute would suit Kylie... at all.

Neither would anything Nicola put out suit her?

No, you must be right. Maybe Lucky Day or Bisco, Blister etc. ?

Lucky Day maybe, with normal non-Cilla vocals, possibly Say it out loud... But I can't imagine Kylie doing anything else on Cinderellas Eyes.
