Kylie Minogue - 16th Album

KM16 is rumoured to be using Slow and Fever as a template, would PJ people rather the album takes a Slow route, or a In Your Eyes-Come Into My World route? Or a mix?

The lead-up to this album feels a lot like Taylor's Midnights in that it's been discussed and talked about so much without having heard a note or really knowing anything about it that it feels a bit like we all just made it up.

But then again, at least with Midnights that didn't happen until after the album was announced

Well one of her AR peeps in London is leaking details on sayhey.
We can only assume it's true. Shrugs!

I'd imagine that if there was material that was in the vein of "Slow," it'd be just the one track instead of multiple, just like the original on Body Language.

Apparently, the cues that KM16 is taking from Fever is more vibes and not sonic, but if it were taking sonic cues from Fever, I'd prefer if we were getting material in the vein of "In Your Eyes" and "Love Affair" instead of material in the vein of "Come Into My World," "Fragile" and "Your Love."

That brief period where we mistakenly believed that Midnights would be a dance record because of the outfits that Taylor wore for its announcement.

Speaking of, did anybody ever figure out if that song that got registered pre-DISCO credited to "Kylie/Iced Earth" had anything to do with La Minogue or was it just a coincidence

It must've been a mistake because the track, "Violate," was from 1996 and I can't imagine Kylie using it for anything, but especially on a disco-inspired album.

This Bert Jansch song was also amongst that batch of songs that was registered:

Yeah Kylie does 'well' when she releases a song like Can't get you out of my head or Slow ie. nothing else sounded like them when they were released, and she got British #1 and Oz #1 singles for both.

Whether or not the first single follows the sonic template of either of those god damn masterpieces... I do hope she give us some of that 'Head and Slow attitude and confidence, at least.
