Kylie Minogue - Extension: The Extended Mixes (Dec 8)

I've honestly never really considered myself a massive Kylie fan outside of the singles and a couple of albums. But earlier this year I started out listening to her music whilst in my final semester of uni, it was so carefree and gave me so much joy/release during one of the most stressful times of my life. I discovered Impossible Princess and absolutely hammered Too Far, listened to Kiss Me Once for the first time, and rediscovered the brilliance of Body Language and X. In general her discography has given me so much pleasure as of late - I now considered myself a fully fledged fan.

But THEN she has the nerve to come out with this outstanding record that I can't stop playing. She is unapologetically COMING for my top artist this year on Spotify. Anyway, I wish her all the success in the world with this album and I hope we get a couple more singles/music videos out of it at least. Just truly magical pop music that very much feels like Kylie through and through!

Seeing others discover Kylies pure joy is so gorgeous!

Yessss

It is wild to me that some of y'all's first time listening to "10 Out Of 10" was when the album was released, which was even later for Apple Music users. Where were y'all in April?
Pretty sure I listened to it at the time, didn't think much of it and that was that. Hearing it as part of the album I was thinking it was going to be terrible as people always seem to slate it and I couldn't really remember anything about it but then when it came on I enjoyed it. Clearly not a standout or anything but it works in the context of the album. Obviously it should have been delegated to the deluxe as an extra track instead of on the main album.

I only came here to say that, Kylie has a collection of album covers that range from stunning to iconic and that's definitely something I appreciate in a pop queen. And I'm counting Disco too (the Guest Edition though).

Picture them all framed on the wall. Art!

Oh my, give Aphrodite and Golden a spin. One is pop fun, the other is country-tinged.

Why do people keep banging on about standard vs deluxe versions like there's actually a difference other than some arbitrary deadline to produce vinyls or cost measuring things to not have the album spill over into another LP. For 99% of people listening, the album is as it is on streaming and that's 14 tracks.
First sales figures over the weekend for Tension (in the UK only) were close to 33.000, without streaming being included. Kylie herself is very aware that she sells a lot of physical products so I would say that for a lot of people there is a difference between standard and deluxe.

The one criticism I have is some of the outros- some of the tracks do end quite abruptly, whereas I’d love to be able to enjoy them a little bit longer. That’s… it.
Album of the year so far for me.

I’m also firmly in the camp of those that rate Tension higher than Padam.

Delving into her discography is a really rewarding process, enjoy the further explorations.
Don't forget to check all the b-sides.

I’ve asked other people about this and no one has heard anything about it. I swear the promo said people would find out on September 22nd. They’re cutting it so close.
I got offered tickets by someone who had won the other day but I can’t make it, so the winners have been notified.
