Except Miley is probably the most polarizing figure in music right now? Not exactly the best example of a universally loved individual.

Not universally loved back when Confide In Me was released. She was an 80s pop star for kids / kitch lovers until then. Good Kylie gone bad (that era's mag shoots, Sex Kylie) was akin to what Miley did last year. Similar not EXACT SAME.

Does anyone else think it might be Snow White related? Someone probably mentioned it alraedy, but I was looking at it, and I just couldn't believe it had no theme or meaning.

But Snow White was in a glass case, and the title would make a world of sense if it was a Snow White theme.

How great would it be if that was the case and the booklet included a photo of her in her coffin surrounded by the dwarfs!

I only really liked and took notice of confide in me and breathe from the Decon era. It wasn't until about 3/4 years after she left that I started to appreciate the rest of the albums.

Did the SAW fans jump ship en masse when they heard her new sound, or did most of them just go with it?

To me the "Let's Get To It" album made it pretty clear things had changed. The first time I heard "Word Is Out" I thought she had gone Mad. It used to sound like R&B to me and I had to get my head around the fact that is where she wanted S/A/W to take their sound.

Everybody I knew was anticipating the thrills of another "Better The Devil You Know" style bomb to launch the album and "Word Is Out" made it crystal clear it was aiming to be something different altogether.

By the time "Confide In Me" came along I had lived through the Nineties a bit more and had my ears opened to different influences and was a long time over the S/A/W sound.

However, I knew various gays (and some straights), who were still stuck in that S/A/W headspace and had to let them go because they couldn't move with the times and because I found it embarrassing that I would be viewed as being stuck in the same headspace as them by association.

I found it funny years later, when gay guys ten years younger than me started screaming blue murder at Alison Goldfrapp for taking away their disco beats on "Seventh Tree".

Sia as executive producer. *Dies* Someone over at Say Hey said that Kiss Me Once is a Sia track too, not sure if that has been shared here.

I'll turn a blind eye to you correcting me, but only because I've seen your ass!

And you're probably right, 50x is a little conservative!
