I even liked that one promo performance of I Was Gonna Cancel in Australia on some awards show. The video is certainly a choice with Kylie in her Laurie Strode bag and looking as if it’s some demented GAP commercial.

I feel like the consensus was fairly positive about Cancel until the video came out. It's like it was so bad it made the song worse to a lot of people nn

I've gone back and forth on it but it's cute. The remixes are indeed still all great.

The song is mid-tier Kylie, but I think part of the reason why most people dislike it is because it felt like the final nail in the coffin of a sinking album campaign (and recording career).

The production issues on Disco are largely fixed on the extended versions. It sounds so much better.

I Was Gonna Cancel isn't as terrible as some people make it out to be. but it's pretty bad. Singles wise, it's probably one of her worst.

Into The Blue is beautiful. With the exception of Two Hearts, she has quite a good lead single track record.

I really like I Was Gonna Cancel and really the whole Kiss Me Once album, I feel like it kind of gets a bad rap sometimes? The only dud is Beautiful (stream Everything Is Beautiful) but the rest of the album is wall to wall bops!

I revisited Kiss Me One this week and most of the songs sounded better than whatever previous idea I had about them. Mr President is a banger. Beautiful is still horrible though.

Like has been said Kiss Me Once gets a bad rep with a lot of people because of how badly it underperformed. I actually think it is a perfect hodge podge of X, Body Language, and Aphrodite which I loved. I totally get the vibe around it sort of hampering things considering she was absolutely over Parlophone at the time and wasn't vibing with her new management either, I am happy now that she's found a happy place with BMG. With all that it still doesn't take away from Kiss Me Once not being a terrible album in the least to me.

Also this track from the album is severely underrated
