Kylie Minogue - "Padam Padam" + Tension (Sep 22)

he / him
In the 80s / 90s before Youtube videos and artists were at the mercy of MTV / other TV stations who would drop entire videos and never play them if there was even a tiny logo in them - in the era of Youtube that stopped being a thing - it even was encouraged.
Oh, interesting. I just assumed that it was to make the MV universal—I'm currently operating under the assumption that Impulse Deodorant is an Australian-specific product. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I had no idea about the politics surrounding getting your MVs played on MTV and the like.

Also, I didn't mean the initial comment as a jab. It's just amusing recalling the other time that Kylie featured product placement in an MV, it was edited out.

No worries I didn’t take it as a jab. I’m sure if Impulse Global paid her again / more she’d have the spray cans everywhere. It was probably an Impulse Australia promotion so it stayed there.

All this talk of videos...I was watching In my Arms yesterday and what a BELTER of a video, the colour, the outfits, the hairdo's, the energy that she brought. Everything was just so spot on and of course the track, what ashame this wasnt the lead, not that there was anything wrong with ATL.

The "In My Arms" MV is so good, tbh. It's wild that that and "Wow" were basically shot at the same time with the same director. The absolute gulf in quality between the two.

"2 Hearts" was the lead single from the album that "In My Arms" was featured on, not "All The Lovers."

The video would never be able to be broadcast on any of the BBC TV shows if any of the Impulse logos were visible.
