Feels So Good 7.96

Feelssogood_zpse7eep3fb.png

Highest Score: 10 x 13 - @heartmightmelt , @Jacques, @etienne, @hawkings24, @Ray, @Sweet Music, @Sprockrooster, @Mjg0806, @Farnaby, @thefaceofyou, @Andsov, @roblognick, @Mikey1701
Lowest Score: 3 x 1 - @playboy69

'Feels So Good' is basically a re-recording of Tom Aspaul's track 'Indiana'...

- It was produced by MNEK

(An extended version can be heard here.)

An alternate "male" version...

Such a brilliant track, the instrumental is so unusual but really summery and Kylie's vocals helped lift a brilliant track even higher/better!

It's done amazingly so obviously you were fans?

Love for all versions...

@mrdonut - Perfectly lovely but so was the original...

Sprock felt this deserved to win?

@Sprockrooster - The only album track that deserves to win this whole rate. So massive and good I cannot believe the general public will never know this exists.

A grower not a show'r?

@WhatKindOfKylie? - A definite grower for me. Kylie does shine well on this more current sounding dance track, but at the same time, don't get why it's almost bigged up as thee 2nd coming. It's not that good.

Don't light a match near Ray...

@Ray - This does feel so good. Even though I make farty sounds with my mouth to accompany the backing track. Or maybe because I make farty sounds.

Speaking of which, Gaz ain't blown away...

@Pop Gaz - I don’t see the praise lauded on this, it’s a nice enough song, but nothing about it blows me away.

Bland?!

@RRS - This is so bland, really don’t get the love for it.

Awww, brilliant and bouncy!

@idratherjack - Brilliant, bouncy, feel good summery pop.

Filled with K moments...

@roblognick - Kylie can make a song sound as if it was made for her even when it wasn’t. Filled with more gorgeous “Kylie moments” than I can count.

Kiss Me Once picks up from here on out...

@Andsov - Yes! This is where KMO picks up its pace. 'Feels So Good' is EXACTLY the sort of music that I want from Kylie. Her voice is wonderful, the lyrics are simple but quite profound and it is *very* well produced. Kylie sounds relaxed but invested. In fact, 'Feels So Good' is in my all-time top 10.

"Wrapped in sunlight"...

@SloMover - This song is like getting wrapped in the warmth of sunlight. 'Feel So Good' is beautiful, gentle and soft.

Yes, thank you Tom and thanks for talking to us on the forum! (Though Sophia name-checks a wrestler...)

@SophiaSophia - Thank you Tom Aspinall cause this song is amazing.

Mikey brilliantly sums this track up...

@Mikey1701 - Effortless, classy, stripped back pop.

Performed on the Anti Tour...

(I couldn't decide which cover I preferred so that's why there are two...)

Fucking hell, is this incredible?! This track is by far one of my favourite Kylie oddities, who else can you think of that can give so much personality in a song, it's so tongue-in-cheek and flirty yet dark and sexy! Incredible!

Our lone 11 can start this off...

@roblognick - I just can’t at the amazingness of this song. I'm just amazed this got left off X.

Donut can't hear the gem that is right in front of their ears...

@mrdonut - Somewhere in here there is a brilliant pop gem struggling to get out but as with most of X’s B-Sides, it gets quite chaotic in the production and realization.

Not enough chorus for hawks?

@hawkings24 - The only thing is is that it needs some development in the music for the chorus.

WKOK notices a similarity...

@WhatKindOfKylie? - Such a strong track that I cannot believe it did not make album grade. All the perfect elements of Kylie there, sexy, singalong with an addictive chorus. But then with the almost similar 'Like a Drug' already in place, perhaps you can see why it only made B-side status after all.

Ray slags the A-Side...

@Ray - Surely the best b-side collection by any artist ever. Three brilliant tracks coming with the shitfest of “In My Arms”.

Hazey asks the obvious...

@DJHazey - Why are so many of these fun bops not on the original tracklist?

@Pop Gaz - A great little bop, would have fitted on the album as a link between the big electro songs and the “warmer” stuff.

Lucky RRS...

@RRS - Dark, edgy, cool. Seeing this performed on the Anti-tour was brilliant.

Praise of the "hidden gem"...

@idratherjack - Kylie suits electropop so well and this is another hidden gem from the X sessions.

Andsov nearly made my vein pop, but he saved it...

@Andsov - I was obsessed when it was released and convinced I had found a life-long fave. But no, it’s not THAT good. (YES it is)

Missing a moment?

@SloMover - Much like 'Speakerphone', I love it but it's missing a "moment" that truly makes it pop.

Sophia isn't happy...

@SophiaSophia - Seriously Parlophone.. *shakes fist*

Overrated Mikey... *slaps*

@Mikey1701 - Don’t get me wrong, I really like 'Cherry Bomb' but I can’t deny the fact that I think it’s overrated amongst the faithful. Fight me.

Delicious Kylie...

@Remorque - Nice and dark electro song. She sounds absolutely delicious on this one and I love the sound effects before and after the chorus.

Yes!

How the hell did "Sparks" beat all of the X b-sides?! Actually, how the hell did most of these songs beat all of the X b-sides? I'm so sad they're all out...

Oh god, thank GOD Cherry Bomb is out. I don't understand what everyone sees in it; it's my least favorite of the abysmal Y-sides.

And let's not forget that Indiana was the only release on noted Popjustice user Little Boots' record label! (Other than her own stuff, of course.)

I am pleased Right Here, Right Now has done more than well, especially as it has ranked much higher than both Garibay EPS. Did think it would be slightly lower so am more than happy with it's placing. Such a tune. In fact so is Cherry Bomb for that matter. And I love that 1st cover art for it in particular! She looks as though she's had lots of Cherry Bombs judging by her facial expression on it he he!

Look at the comments on this page alone for proof of how diverse the overall opinions are, one persons favourite is another's most-hated!

That Feels So Good artwork is brilliant, so good....The Cherry Bomb ones though, hhmmmm....

I'm sad you don't like them, I wanted them to be a bit wacky - to compliment the track?
The first cover is meant to be like a movie poster, and I imagined the music video (this is in my head) has Kylie playing the character of "Cherry" and the second one is like a promo card CD?

They/them, he/him
I'm starting to feel Spinning Around should leave now. It's not on the same level as On A Night Like This or Fever.

And everybody coming for Fever need to be shown an exit.

I sensed maybe you were going for an old skool movie poster feel in that first one? Lots of old skool Hollywood Divas played gals with different names, my personal favourite being Letty Lynton as played by Joan Crawford ha ha!
