The Sun is reporting that the album is finished. She's been talking about making music and posting photos from the studio for the past couple of years. BMG's president reports that it's due in "the first half of 2023."

From W Magazine
Minogue carries herself with a warm confidence without a trace of diva-like ego, and certainly remains curious. She recently began working on her 16th studio album—and has dedicated the month of July to recording even more. “It’s this really exciting moment,” she added. “There are two or three songs that might [have] a couple little bits of gold in them, but we don’t know.”

From The Sun
I can reveal she has all but completed her 16th studio album and secretly jetted into London last week to play the record for her label.

She met with bosses at BMG so they could listen to her new songs and discuss the collection’s release – which isn’t too far away.

A source told me: “Everything is being treated as top secret. Most people at the label didn’t even know she was coming.

“She quietly flew into London to visit bosses at BMG.

“They were really impressed and talks moved on to how they will roll it out”

Details are being ironed out but the album is scheduled to drop in the first half of 2023.

This is the first time I don't have any expectations going into the album? I'd love for a looser theme with less pastiche like Golden and Disco, and more streamlined than Kiss Me Once and X. Aphrodite, Body Language, and Fever all benefit from being such consistent, solid pop albums with Kylie being the through-line rather than the theme. I imagine this record will be more dance-oriented, whether that means she draws from modern productions like the ones from Dua Lipa, perhaps some Jessie Ware, maybe SG Lewis - I'm open to anything, but mostly want to feel her confidence and artistry again.

I get songs are ready, the album is not. Some songs can change, some songs can be added. I can get that Kylie is a priority for BMG, but it may be too late for a Q4 release, cos she usually has a lot of different vinyl formats, that takes time to produce. Maybe they agree about the delivery of the master and maybe 1st and 2nd single and they started planning the tour.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I don't want another Disco. Disco was fine and I definitely enjoyed it for awhile but I got bored of it rather quickly.

I would, however, be here for something to celebrate Body Language's 20 year anniversary... give us a 2.0! This won't happen but I can dream dd, I think it's one of her best albums.
