The extended mix is fine but it doesn't do what I wished for, which was some kind of bridge/middle8 and a grand final chorus. Weird, but I guess it's a deliberate choice. Still very pleased we got some form of extended version!

Does the Spotify chart include all the old 'classics' like Mr Brightside etc too? On mine it seems to. If that's true then that's great too.

After listening to the extended version a few more times, yes, it does dilute the song, but only because they extended the wrong parts. The longer intro isn't as iconic and the lazy instrumental after the first verse makes it a bit stop-and-go. But the extended outro slaps hard!

I really like the Extended Mix. Perfect length and it doesn't need a Chorus outro. Ending with that pulsing beat is part of it's DNA.

I love the download only trickery to pad some sales for tomorrow so it remains in the top 30 in the UK. Now we just need mixes from here on out and I think it’ll stay afloat for a bit since it’s still increasing on streams and radio airplay. I am so happy for her and this song deserves it, now hopefully she’s also grabbing more album pre-orders and she’ll be a lock for #1 come September.
