The world tour (”world” being Europe and Oceania) is apparently already in the works for early 2024. I imagine Vegas would probably come first if it’s only a twelve week run.
The idea of a vegas residency has been floated before. It’s obviously financially lucrative (some ridiculous payment amounts being thrown about, £100 million I seriously doubt). The sad thing is it probably backs up the rumour that a tour is probably more like 2024. Let’s hope she’s got some big plans for that tour, hence why it’s taking so long.
Yeah I’ve no problem with waiting for a 2024 tour if it means an album rerelease to extend the era further.

Kylie was last offered Vegas in 2011 , but it seems this is really going to happen,, one of the insiders has said it is a addition to not a tour replacement , and that's its going to be a VERY busy kylie year

Id imagine at least until after the first single. Could be a good album campaign boost given that even rumour of it is widely reported in the media.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but a Kylie Vegas residency doesn't feel like a guaranteed success. Are US gays and British tourists really enough to sustain a residency?
That's my concern too, but I don't know what the residency market is like in Las Vegas. Unless the new material is so strong that they're that confident she can do it.
I'm guessing dates will have to be announced with enough time for people abroad to book plane tickets etc.
I mean, Adele remains one of the biggest global stars with a massive U.S. following and Katy is much more of a household name in the U.S. Unless we're talking about Katy B. If Katy B has a Vegas residency, then, all bets are off.
I think a small U.S. tour would be more likely to sell well than a multi-week residency. But, I suppose there are efficiencies in staying in one spot vs. touring a limited number of cities in a country as vast as the U.S. If there's any truth to the story, I'd have to assume the casinos/producers have done some consumer research that indicates stronger demand than I would have imagined.
If either a residency or tour is an option, I'm getting tickets, but I'm still skeptical about this fit.

The thing is if her residency were to hypothetically bomb, that wouldn't be Kylie's problem—it'd be the venue's—like @heartmightmelt said in the other Kylie thread. She'd get that cheque up front, so regardless of its success, Ms. Minogue is getting paid.
