Kylie Minogue - Tension

What would it take for this to make a mark in Europe?
I mean it has only been out for under a fortnight and she's only done one performance of the track for American television and a handful of radio interviews. A couple more performances could help push it in Europe.

Regional remixes with local artists would probably be the ideal tactic if Kylie doesn't want to fly from country to country to do interviews and perform on television shows, especially if it means that those appearances can be saved to push the album instead.

I'm surprised that it's crickets in Europe so far. I would have thought this sound would have lots of appeal there. I know she hasn't done any real European promo but nor has she promoted in Brazil and 'Padam' has made an impact on streaming charts there.

It's sad to hear Europe is ageist towards female popstars, in decades past they were always a bastion for female artists like Madonna even when American support waned. I'd have thought this song would be a no brainer European smash for Kylie.

Europe isn't agist or more than normal, people just aren't into seeking new music. The gays I have played Padam to love it the rest haven't heard it. Th only way was to click on the link on Facebook for a lot of them and after the last few Kylie singles maybe they aren't as eager or nobody shares music there anymore? If they get exposed to it they will like it / respond.

Pop music hit are a tough beast. Let's celebrate the fact she has the UK on her side for now, it's doing better than the new Dua song on every metric there!

The former could very easily be a factor. Although Disco was largely positively received on here, its decidedly uncool take on the disco revival sound might've been the final straw for some European fans who were already not here for her faux-country era. Who could've guessed that she'd follow that up with a contemporary sounding banger?

I’m not clicking through. What’s the angle they are going for?
The Illuminati pose on the album cover. The 'Devil' red in the video. Probably that also she loves the queer community. A big 'no, no' with them.

Like this :
'I loved #KylieMinogue. I made excuses for her. But her latest album is in-your-face Illuminati symbolism from one-eye cover to dancing in devil red on the debris of Western Civilization in the Padam Padam video,' they wrote.

'Looking back, it was there from the start, on "I Should Be So Lucky",'

Sorry for posting the Daily Fail but the gig is up for us. They are onto us and our plans for Satan to take over the world

Well, as a close personal friend of Satan, I can confirm the rumours are true.

Also, he wanted me to say hi to all the gays here. He has put Kylie as item number two on the next meeting (gay) agenda (frankly, she has never been off our agenda) where he will reveal full world domination plans to us all. I say, Hell yes.

I pay for Apple Music but have a free Spotify account.
Didnt realise before you can't play what you like on Spotify, one referal track a day & seems you just have to listen to playlists on random. I clicked on padam & it played 10/10. Gonna try o play it at least once a day on Spotty to help it.
