Padam Padam - Bop. 4/5
Hold On To Now - It's been said before, classic emotopop Kylie, love it or hate it. 2/5
Things We Do For Love - Flat for me. 2/5
Tension - Bop. 4/5
One More Time - Ends up being more enjoyable that it seems at the start, a fun little boogie. 3/5
You Still Get Me High - Boring. 2/5
Hands - The way this is a great sound for her vocals!! Reminds me of Chocolate, but a younger modern take. 4/5
Green Light - She's not bringing anything to this party. This is the only one I ended up skipping nn. 2/5
Vegas High - Wig! I can already hear Kylie's "Vegas!....hi! :-)"s on stage. 4/5
10 out of 10 - No one needed this but I'm not mad, it fits in with the other tracks and doesn't feel tacked on. 3/5
Story - Wasn't ready for this at the end and it's a great closer. I wouldn't hate this as a single. 4/5
Love Train - Not very deep but it’s enjoyable. 3/5.
Somebody To Love - 2/5.
8 out of 13 being 3/5+ is quite good! Excited to hear the deluxe tracks in full. Album ranking wise it's middle of the pack.
Overall I think the album is solid though not mindblowing. Some great tracks, it's an album I could have on in the background without needing to skip, but I don't know how often I'm going to pointedly sit and listen. The tracklisting could do with a bit of a shuffle too, and I also wish all of the longer tracks were shorter and the shorter tracks were longer.
Admittedly I am a hater of the Carly/Robyn sound and I don't have a heart so most of that is wasted on me. The 80s influence is real but they've been playing it cool and sleek with all of the visuals which makes things a little jarring in parts.
My ratings are pretty arbritrary, I like to keep it simple for my library. 5=fave, 4=bop, 3=ok, 2=meh, 1=prison.
