  1. Not really, no.

  2. Unfortunately not, there are plenty of people who think Light Years is her best work. It isn't bad by any means, but Fever is just much tighter and cooler.

  3. I am thankful that Light Years re-established her in her key markets, but outside of three out of the four singles, I don't find myself revisiting the album.

  4. If it’s as good as the promo this is going to be a great listen

  5. Boy and Butterfly close out the deluxe on Spotify US, anyway. Such a rush!

  6. Light Years works better for me. Yes, Fever is perhaps stylistically 'cooler' in sound, production and visuals but Light Years has a lot more warmth about it. It's very kitch, it's very pop, it's very fun. It plays to her strengths and I prefer her vocals on it too. As mentioned already, Fever felt like the time we started to get really nasally vocals from Kylie, especially on the Come Into My World single mix (to my ears the album version was always superior).

That said, I think both albums are far from perfect and carry a few duds.

  7. And seemingly erased from existence, it's the single mix on all copies since 2002, including the Sainsburys vinyl.

  8. If I had to choose one Kylie album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Fever. It’s just the perfect encapsulation of everything that makes Kylie great.

  9. Yeah, sad times.

  10. Light Years is in Kylie's bottom five ddd.

  12. Not when it contains Spinning Around, On a Night Like This, Disco Down, Your Disco Needs You, Butterfly and Light Years.

  13. An album that houses Your Disco Needs You, Love Boat and that Coochie song can just objectively not be considered good.

  15. These are just several songs/reasons why this is my favourite Kylie album.

  16. If you don't like Your Disco Needs You you have no soul.

  17. Easily one of her most feel good anthems of all time for me.

  18. I always remember prior to hearing it that the single mix of Cone into my world would be beefed up a bit and make it less of a retread of Can't Get... but it actually made it even more paper thin. Most pointless single version ever.

  19. It was her breathy vocals for me that I didn't like.

  20. Yeah the new vocals just sounded like a demo take.
