Apparently HMV shipped my orange Impossible Princess vinyl today. In theory then, I should get it before Friday... Bet I won't get it until Tuesday next week.

Rough Trade shipped my orange Impossible princess vinyl yesterday, so hopefully I will get that before the weekend. I expect the formats I ordered from Kylie Store to take at least a week longer to arrive.

HMV emailed saying my orange LP had been dispatched and this morning this message from Royal Mail.


It is so disappointing that Townsend Records has not dispatched my goodies early too. With all the strikes and knock on effects another release I won't get until days after release. I want to support artists stores, independent record stores and HMV but they mostly fail to get delivered on the release date and often you do not receive your items until the Tuesday / Wednesday. Argh!

I miss the days when for a Monday release HMV would ship the item on the Thursday before and the item would always arrive on the weekend.

I remember buying the first 3 SDE box sets from cherry red for £29.99 each, I picked LGTI for around £85 from eBay about 5 years ago, they are visually stunning,

I also had this with my J.Lo 'On the 6' vinyl but it still arrived on release day.

I love Impossible Princess so much. I've probably said this before but back in the late '90s, I rediscovered Kylie since after her debut album, it was very quiet for her here in North America

Tower Records had opened in Toronto and they had a bunch of Kylie imports and I was intrigued. I ended up getting Intimate and Live and really loved the mix of new and older material. I really liked the Impossible Princess songs so I sought out the original album and I was hooked. Breathe blew me away and then I started hunting for more Impossible Princess-era items, such as the Breathe remixes (love the Tee Freeze Mix and the slightly faster single mix). Then the fabulous Impossible Remixes.

I gave up on HMV when I pre-ordered Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Bluray in 2019. Release date Monday came and they didn't have it. They had about 200 copies of the bluray in the shop on display and in the backroom... but not my copy. I had to wait ten days before my pre-order was delivered to the shop.

Townsend used to be spot on for delivery, but last few years I've found myself stuck for days, by which time you've seen everyone elses copy and it takes the joy out of poring over the artwork yourself.
