Kylie and Emotopop, really do go hand in hand. Hold Onto Now, may well just be her very best effort with this.
I don't think she hates it, but the wasn't happy with the whole Kiss Me Once album.I'm sorry, I need to share this. One of my favorite Kylie moments is when she / they were forced to re-release ''Step Back in Time'' because the fans were furious she / they cut ''Into the Blue''.
Why doesn't she like ''Into the Blue'' though? Do we know?
Also, ''Chocolate'' on Spotify has ''Kylie Minogue, A Guevara'' credited as performers. Can someone explain?
I get it, even though I do like 2-3 tracks from it.I don't think she hates it, but the wasn't happy with the whole Kiss Me Once album.
I don't even think that it's the album itself, but the era. A lot of changes were happening at the time—a change in management, adjusting to becoming a talent show judge—and I don't think that it was the best time for her.I don't think she hates it, but the wasn't happy with the whole Kiss Me Once album.

A Guevarra has no other credits on Discogs beyond "Chocolate", so maybe it's a presudonym to credit him for the unused sample without seeming like it's a bigger deal like a feature?Wasn't that Ludacris?
Unfortunately, Sleepwalker isn't on Spotify.Maybe Glow and Wait too?
Wasn't it Roc Nation that – alongside Kylie herself – pushed for the edgier sound of Sexercize etc. and set her up with Sia and Pharrell in the first place, but then Parlophone got cold feet about how it would go down with the GP and "legacy fans" and therefore wanted more typical Kylie songs on the album? She was deflated with how things ended with Parlophone and believed Roc Nation would be different and respect her as an artist allowing her some artistic freedom. Her vision for Kiss Me Once (more dance-based harder, edgier) was rejected and watered down on their recommendation. Then unsurprisingly when it wasn't as successful as previous work they basically washed their hands.
BMG has been the perfect fit because she calls the shots and is clearly adored by them.
Yeah I think that’s what happened. There’s no way Roc Nation would have gotten her those contacts and then pulled the plug after she’d recorded the tracks.Wasn't it Roc Nation that – alongside Kylie herself – pushed for the edgier sound of Sexercize etc. and set her up with Sia and Pharrell in the first place, but then Parlophone got cold feet about how it would go down with the GP and "legacy fans" and therefore wanted more typical Kylie songs on the album?
To return in 2018 for her 50th birthday and then in the next five years have FOUR UK #1 albumsYes, 2013-17, were certainly years of ups and downs for Kylie. Glad she's overcome that both personally and professionally.
