I was a bit shocked to see my name as a 10 giver for Million Miles as I couldn’t even remember how the song went. However I checked my scores and did indeed give it a 10. Replayed the song and now remember it and it is a good song but maybe I overrated it slightly. I gave two other tracks from the album a 10 too and have gone back to them many times since discovering them in the rate.
I like Mandy Smith and this one and only album by her, but her version is just a big no.
Which later tracks exactly? We already lost I Was Gonna Cancel, Sexy Love, Sexercize, Beautiful, and Mr. President. The ones left are all fantastic!
I will admit it IS getting extremely tough now!
I can't believe we lost Got to Be Certain already! Though I understand we're into the top 90 so things are bound to get hectic... still, I could've sworn some Rhythm of Love non-singles still survived the PWL carnage? Am I wrong? Shouldn't we have been booting those out instead of the fine singles from the era? Oh well.
Things Can Only Get Better is literally a Pride anthem, you heathen!
I was doing so well in my other rates today and then this happened.
Million Miles - 9. I had never heard this before and might have inflated the score but it's still one of my favourites on the album. Parts of the verses could be better but the chorus is great.
Got To Be Certain - 10. This is in my Top 20. I love the melody of the synths, as well as the clockwork drums with those iconic 3 claps and Kylie's vocals are excellent. The backing track is perfectly fitted together. But my favourite part is the extended 'more' running into that instrumental.

Got to Be Certain is one of my guilty pleasures! It's such a fun song and I don't think you actually realise it until you revisit it!
I've also realised my rate for 'Shocked' is based off of the DNA Mix, and so I'm not actually sure of the consensus of the album mix so I no have no idea how it's gonna fare ...

@hawkings24 - 10 High contender for my 11, I loved it from the first listen and I love the German edit of the song
@Andsov - 10 I can't believe she wheeled Shaggy out. And I really cant believe it works. Black and White is hypnotizing. I wish it had a more polished production, but its still a ten.
@Verandi - 8 It could be a 10. It's a shame it was recorded with a potato, a sock and a prayer. Painful with headphones.
@Hudweiser - 8 I love that she can work with anyone... but SHAGGY??? The rest of it is great though.
@Untouchable Ace - 7.5 Hollow production.
@M24 - 6.5 Doesn't hit me as much as Glow or Wait, even when the chorus is pretty good and explosive.

Is that German version an official release or just a leak, I had no idea that existed before, I think I prefer it to the original.
