I've said it before, but there are four songs I love on Aphrodite (all still in the running) and the rest, I wouldn't care one way or the other if I never heard them again.

he/him
I was watching that Aphrodite interview with Stuart Price and only just found out that Illusion began as a sad disco song, with the chorus as the bridge. Maybe they should have kept it that way ... I don't dislike Illusion, in fact it's a decent song but it should not have outlasted things like Say Hey, Drunk and GBI

No... "Illusion" becomes my third 10 to get eliminated. It's in my top 3 from "Aphrodite" and one of my favourite songs by Kylie in that decade.

Funny how @Andsov called it the "Promises" of this album, because I see it pretty much the same way - it's one of my least favourite 10's, and I wasn't going to give it until re-thinking, but that doesn't make the song any less brilliant.
The verses are amazing, the middle-8 is lovely (the strings!), but the chrous sounded a bit underwhelming to me at first, but all the beautiful humming grew on me and I just had to give it full marks. It's not all in the impact force, but the way the harmonies and ad-libs come together (I adore the 'ahh' bits in the final chorus). I'm really keen on the blippy and expanding production that is full of synths, too. It's very refreshing compared to several where the prodcution is too heavy and the song drowns in it. With "Illusion", they balanced it perfectly.

Should've been top 50 at least.
At least we still have "Closer" and "Cupid Boy".

Seething that Wow is still holding on ... God I hate that song

2 Hearts 7.91

Highest Score: 10 x 7 @funkyg, @ABoy’sGot2Suffer4Fashion, @maverick_79, @tylerc904, @GimmeWork, @ankh, @Remorque
Lowest Score: 1 x 1 @Gnuh Gnuh

@Andsov - 9 2 Hearts is interesting. It's one hell of a song, but it killed the comeback. I mean, The One was right there.
@CasperFan - 8 On it’s own as a song I love it-different and Kylie sounds great-but I resent it as the lead single to a comeback and not being reflective of the album. Loved it live on the X tour.
@hawkings24 - 8 I have to be in the right mood for this song
@M24 - 7 I get a Gwen Stefani vibe from this one. I agree with the forum's sentiment here, it's cute but not lead single material.

@nanafan - 7 Something different. Should never have been a lead single given all the content she had on the album. Lower tier single
@mrdonut - 7 It’s all been said before about the lead single status so I’m scoring it as a song and as part of a discography. Can’t deny 2 Hearts is refreshing next to the Wows and Spinning Arounds, and glam rock + Kylie does make sense. It just doesn’t ever quite get going in the way it was undoubtedly supposed to.
@Untouchable Ace - 6 I never got it, why this?... At this point she could still storm to #1 with a lead single. Why not 'The One'? It was disrespected to that song for releasing it so late let alone to the baby momma of '2 Hearts'.
@Hudweiser - 5 I'll always love her optimism to try out new sounds, but this was a bitterly disappointing comeback. The whole of X was a mess in terms of any sonic theme, but there were still stacks of better choices.
