Sleeping With The Enemy - 8. One of my rate discoveries. When I found out it was only a bonus track I was very surprised considering what made it on to the album.

Put Your Hands Up - 6.5. My third worst song on the album. It's nice I guess but utterly uninteresting and the chorus is a damp squib.

Oof, after losing two 9's in Madonna's rate today, the same thing happens here, which really stings.

I'm so glad that "Automatic Love" made it to the top 3 of the album (if we exclude the other version of "Where Is the Feeling?") - very deserving. It's by far my favourite album track, and actually my second favourite song after "Confide In Me" on that album. The verses are stunning and that live performance is so classy.

Another 9 I lost today is "Sleeping with the Enemy", which is my favorite song from "Kiss Me Once", and it's absurd that it ended up being just a bonus track. Such a gem and I grew to like it even more - gorgeous melody, especially in the chorus, and the production is amazingly done. It's sensual in the most beautiful way and I'm a bit sad that it unfairly got eliminated before plenty of weaker songs. Not fair.
Also, I'm very surprised that "Fine", among other songs, outlasted it.

This. And the worst part was that when it was announced as the lead single, we'd all heard the Kish Mauve version and we'd all convinced ourselves that despite being a cover, it'd have completely different production. How wrong we were.
I have never even heard the original now! Maybe I should just leave it that way then?...

The Pete Hammond remix greatly improves it, but "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel In Love)" isn't particularly good, is it? I do like the verses, but the chorus feels so limp. I'm surprised that it was one of the songs on Aphrodite that was pegged as a single before the album's release that was still a single after plans had changed and I'm surprised that it made it as far as it did in this rate.

It reminds me of Stand Up off Cheryl's debut. A supposedly euphoric floorfiller that absolutely refuses to show any sign of life at all, with a vocal performance that might as well be a McDonald's order for all the passion or commitment involved.

Put Your Hands Up is pure euphoria.

I'm not fussed at all about "Burning Up" being eliminated. It's a cool song, and while I really like the juxtaposition between the verses and choruses, the chorus gets so damn repetitive, which makes the song a bit annoying. I gave it a 7, which is my joint lowest score from "Fever".

It's very impressive how "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" managed to last so long with only two 10's. It must've received a heckload of 9's, then.
Anyways, it is the definition of a safe song and an album filler, but a good one at that. Apparently, I gave it an 8.5(?!) - that's much higher than I thought. The chorus is very catchy, but the entire song is too sedate to be considered one or the highlights. Okay, I probably bumped its score because of the middle-8, but am still sure that I overscored it and am completely fine with it leaving at this point.

@One Stop Candy Shop, @WhatKindOfKylie?,
@clowezra, @SlowGinFizzzz, @Andsov
Lowest Score: 3 x 1 @Aester

@Andsov - 10 Fine never fails to make me feel good. Job well done Kylie. Ending the album with the line "turn your face into the sun" was a stroke of brilliance.
@Untouchable Ace - 9.5 The song you really feeeeeeel.
@mrdonut - 9 brilliant and a lovely warm up to If I Can’t Have You.
@M24 - 6.5 Cute bop.
@nanafan - 6 I think most of Kiss Me Once is filler and this track is another filler track.
