Like a drug is only really amazing if you haven't heard Kelly Osbourne's 'One word' which does the same thing but so much better.
That in turn was a ripoff of Visage's Fade To Grey, to the extent that the original writers eventually had to be credited so she and Linda Perry didn't get sued into oblivion.

And any song that doesn't have Kelly's droning non-voice on it is (to my ears) better by default.

@P'NutButter I was convinced that the "uh"s were for Red Blooded Woman and was even more disappointed that it was Like a Drug! That song does something to me. I used to think she was saying "If I'm a tit and you're the one to please", along with me thinking the lyrics of All I See were "The DJ's got me feeling like a dick"

The intro of the tour version of 'Like A Drug' is always stuck in my head.

Oh Kelly is not even 0.00001% of the popstar/ has the voice of Kylie but 'One word' is INCREDIBLE and had Kylie sang it would have been number one for weeks. Like a drug sounds like a 'we didn't get that song but as it wasn't a big hit no one will notice if we do a copycat song that follows the same formula'. Like a drug is great but absolutely is a copycat song.

I highly doubt that anyone in Kylie's team heard "One Word" and thought "We need it. Or something like it." They're just both products of the 80s revival from mid-to-late 00s that just happen to sample the same song.

I was sad this next one didn't make it just that little bit further, but I know it's divisive...

@nanafan - 10 A modern Kylie classic that deserves its place with other huge hits. This will be in live shows for the foreseeable future and is a brilliant pop record.
@mrdonut - 10 Well who knew when the album was announced that we’d be getting a classic Kylie single. Great songwriting, great delivery, great video. The ‘Can’t stand still / won’t slow down’ bridge is incredibly moreish and the clever wordplay on ‘go out’ in the chorus is a treat. Very much looking forward to future tour versions of this when Steve fiddles with the arrangements.

@CasperFan - 10 A modern Kylie classic, took a little while to really click but when it did…just irresistible.
@M24 - 9.5 This is just perfect. I mean, I came into this album with ZERO expectations because I thought Kylie's experimentation with country music would sound weird at best… and this just snatched my wig the very first listen!
@Andsov - 8.5 The sentiment of this song is very touching. Its also very touching to see how much Kylie loves it, and who am I to argue?

@Untouchable Ace - 8.5 Remember the comparisons between 'Dancing' and Troye Sivan's 'Bloom'?
@KingBruno - 8.5 This stylistic change for her is a bit in the same vein as Impossible Princess – it’s great!

@Verandi - 7.5 It's… alright. The least exciting lead single since Spinning Around.
@Maki - 7.5 It's a bit too basic, which isn't a bad thing, it just lacks something special. The chorus is so joyful and boosts my score.
@MrJames - 6.5 It’s fun but doesn’t quite reach the dizzy heights of some of Kylie’s greatest lead singles.

A mess. And before anybody quotes me saying that somebody else zero-ed everything pre-Confide In Me, I condemned that too.
