Absolutely delighted that Put Yourself managed to do so well, it was my Deconstruction "11" and is definitely in my top 5 Kylie songs. I'm obviously rooting for Devil, it was my PWL 11 and if we were only allowed 1 "11" in the entire rate it'd be Devil for me, a song I'll never get sick of.

Regarding Head, I had to give it a 10, like so many others it's not a song I really choose to listen to due to overexposure but I always have to remind myself how I felt about it when it came out and I don't think I've ever loved a new Kylie song more than when Head was released, that plus it's obviously Iconic.

I'd also be interested to see what the outcome would have been if we'd only been allowed 1 "11". I feel like the Parlophone songs were at a slight disadvantage as there were so many more of them plus most of her success was during that era.

These two songs really are Kylie at her best. Better The Devil You Know is an anthem. I was like 7 when it was released and my aunt would always buy me the Kylie albums on cassette. It's always been in my life soundtrack, I just never get tired of it. Confide In Me Is equally brilliant and yet totally different. These two are totally two of my most played Kylie songs so I'm happy either way.

So, after 184 tracks (205 if you count Kylie Christmas) we've reached the final two of this first part of Kylie's complete discography rate "The Albums+" and finishing in second place is...

Better The Devil You Know 9.9

@nanafan - 11 One of the best pop songs ever made. This is what turned Kylie from just another PWL singer into a pop icon. Everything is right about this record and the video where Kylie took control is amazing. The intro of this gives me tingles and when she does it live it always goes off and she clearly loves performing it. Nothing else was an option to get my 11 as it’s the second best record ever made (the first got my 11 in part one). God bless you Kylie for giving us this gem and following it with three more anthems from this album. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of hearing this track.
@Reboot - 11 One of my favourite songs ever. Finally getting to hear this live a couple of years ago was such a memorable moment for me.

@Andsov - 11 30 years on and that intro still gives me goosebumps. They stay for the entire song.
@mrdonut - 11 Along with Like A Prayer, Devil is THE song from my childhood that I shall forever cherish. It is superlative, masterful pop. Despite probably playing this song over a million times, the chord progressions in the verses never lose their power over me – nor does the juxtaposition of such heart-breaking lyrics set against the song’s melodic euphoria. Unquestionably Kylie’s greatest song in her PWL era and one of the greatest pop singles OF ALL TIME.

@Hudweiser - 10 It's difficult to accept this was denied the #1 spot, but Kylie was so omnipresent back then I think forces were conspiring to end her reign and so it was judged unfairly. Thankfully, I think most people look back and can agree this is a bonafide classic, and possibly PWL's crowning achievement?
@hawkings24 - 10 Euphoric song, robbed of #1.
@Ugly Beauty - 10 The emergence of Sex Kylie™! iconic in every way possible.
@MrJames - 10 Stone cold classic. An incredibly sharp change in direction at this point in her career and still sounds just as electrifying thirty years later.
@CasperFan - 10 Pop music doesn’t get much better than this. From those opening synths it really doesn’t let up and it hasn’t dated at all. Killer!

@M24 - 10 This song feels so modern! Probably the first so far that feels less-80s-like and more 90s. I cannot give this less than a 10.
@Ana Raquel - 10 It seems that I love 90s songs called Better The Devil You Know.
@Holly Something - 9.5 Deducting half a point, she doesn't sound as good as the Steps girls.
@Maki - 8 I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I don't really understand why people view this song as the second coming of Jesus. A great 80's tune with lovely elements, sure. The use of oh's is really good and I really like the chorus. But all that praise? Sorry, I still don't hear the brilliance.
@KingBruno - 7 Glad that SAW finally gave her the opportunity to develop a persona rather than making her sound like their umpteenth hit machine.
@Verandi - 5 There's a good song underneath the production.

Confide In Me 10.3

Highest Score: 11 x 25 @P'NutButter, @Adora Day, @m_dimitrov, @OSHi, @Hudweiser, @SlowGinFizzzz, @nanafan, @maverick_79, @madgemad, @WoW73, @Andsov, @KingBruno, @tylerc904, @Daniel_O, @dancingwithmyself, @GimmeWork, @IntoTheBlue, @AGiantSheep, @letuinmybackdoor, @Robsolete, @Robert, @Markus1981, @Sail On, @Touchofmyhand, @Maki
10 x 37 @Jóga, @WhatKindOfKylie?, @Sprockrooster, @SinceYouTookYourPopAway, @clowezra, @AllGagaLike, @Jacques, @nikkysan, @Womanizer, @Fuchsia, @aux, @mrdonut, @No hay banda, @Mirwais Ahmadzaï, @Reboot, @hawkings24, @Physical, @muddleddreams, @poshbabyyy, @Ugly Beauty, @Phonetics Boy, @MrJames, @CasperFan, @fatyoshi, @SloMover, @Crisp X, @Aester, @unnameable, @SophiaSophia, @Verandi, @Holly Something, @M24, @MilesAngel, @Ana Raquel, @Ramalama, @Remorque, @Untouchable Ace
Lowest Score: 7 x 1 @Gnuh Gnuh

@GimmeWork - 11 Just epic. The production. The build-up. The Vocals. All. of. it.
@Hudweiser - 11 What can be said? She'd been written off by everyone then returned with this. The moment that string signature comes in you know this song means business, and then you get the percussion!!? A crime this was not #1 for 6 weeks.
@nanafan - 11 I wanted to give the 11 to two other tracks as I love them but couldn't not give it to this. I remember seeing this on The Chart Show when I was 15 and being shocked. How could one of my favourite pop stars go from Celebration to this? I really didn’t like it. Now I see it as the masterpiece that it is. Amazing video, the Big Brothers remix is STUNNING and a clear signal to the world there was more to her than a fluffy pop princess. This track, and the Deconstruction era, is why Kylie has had the longevity she has and shows how much of a creative force she is. This must be in the Top 3 tracks surely?

@KingBruno - 11 Her working with a more highbrow producer as Dave Seaman led to the highly anticipated maturing of Kylie’s sound. No more thirteen in a dozen pop songs, but an idiosyncratic style of music that would eventually grant her the opportunity to collab with an artist as high-profiled as Nick Cave. “Confide In Me” proved that Kylie had more in her as a vocalist than her previous label wanted her to show.
@Andsov - 11 Confide in Me really took my taste in music to a new level. I was mind-blown when it was released, and it just opened my eyes. One of pops finest moments ever.

@Sprockrooster - 10 Probably my 11 for this era, but since it will rack them up 11's anyway cause of the limited options, let me go tactical and support a more niche track.
@mrdonut - 10 Of course it’s an 11 but my choice had to go to an underdog. As with Slow, Confide is astonishingly timeless. Those luscious strings, her first-rate vocals, its commanding ambiance; the word ‘masterpiece’ gets hurled around a lot but make no mistake, Confide is absolutely a masterpiece (although sadly its magnificence overshadows the whole KM94 album). I hope one day Kylie will do a tour of opera houses complete with orchestras and chorus members and when she does, Confide will be its high point.

@CasperFan - 10 Just epic. Kylie sounds incredible and remember hearing this the first time and thinking, wow she can really sing! The album version is THE version for me, although the Big Brother mix is how to do a remix right!
@Verandi - 10 Imagine jumping from the dumpster fire of the PWL era and those abhorrent Greatest Hits tracks to THIS.
@Holly Something - 10 An iconic classic. The strings are everything, as are the vocals (especially all the extended meeeeeee's that she does).
@M24 - 10 Those strings at the start! That beat! Kylie's seductive voice! Can I not give this a 10? I don't think so! Also, can we talk about that serve of a MV? I wonder where the idea for the 6 "stereotypical" Kylie's that Wikipedia mentions came from? When was she ever associated with war or drugs?

.

Confide In Me is nothing short of a masterpiece. Her going left-field at the time was so unexpected, imagine the sheer shock of the public and the fans when they heard that this was in fact Kylie “I Should Be So Lucky” Minogue.
A brilliant reinvention and without it we probably wouldn’t have got Impossible Princess aka one of my favorite albums of hers.

Thank you @P'NutButter for hosting such a flawless rate with amazing graphics! and I cannot wait for part 2 where I hope gems such as Boy wouldn’t get done dirty!

A very worthy winner to an extremely amazing discography! I'm glad I took part in this, I think it's turned me into a Kylie fan (stream Say Something)!!!

Thanks a lot for all your work, @P'NutButter! I can only imagine all the effort you put into this rate, and you're honestly the most consistent host I've come across yet! Even if I didn't like falling behind on all the elimination posts, it felt so comforting to know that whatever happened in my life during the last couple of months, there would be a lot to read on this thread. So thanks a lot for that too! I hope you take a well-deserved rest now!

I would also like to thank the rest of the Kylie fandom for this experience! Even if we didn't always agree, I always felt very welcome to voice my opinion here. I could be rightly dragged, but at least I wasn't ignored (and sometimes I just want attention dddd)!!!

P.S: Oh, and if it's not too much to ask, @P'NutButter do you think you could share the whole placements in text form, just like you did a few years ago? If you have the time, it's not necessary at all.

Wow! I knew Confide would win, I'm not sure a PWL track could win on Popjustice. It is a worthy winner and it sounds as fresh today as it did in 1994. The video is iconic and one of my absolute favourite Kylie videos. Devil will forever be my favourite Kylie track but I can't grumble at number in THAT list. Well done @P'NutButter youve really done an amazing job, what a difference from my original basic bitch Kylie rate back in the day when it was only the 2nd rate on this forum!
