Yeah, "I'll Still Be Loving You" did better than I thought. I expected it to plummet around the same time as "I Miss You".
Definitely one of the weakest songs from her debut, it's nice to see it leave. I do like the melody is some parts, but it's very inessential.

And I had no idea it is Steve Anderson's favourite song by Kylie and that she performed a snippet of it live. That's cute.

Good god, are Celebration and Locomotion still in this?
I really hope these two are among the next few cuts.

Love, love, love ‘I’ll Still Be Loving You’. I was loving it when I was 8 years old and I’ll still be loving it in 20 years time. The melody is absolutely gorgeous and it was such a treat in Newcastle on opening night when this started. It’s a beautiful song, let down by the instrumentation, hence my score of 9. Originally it was more of a ballad but they added the drums in the end to be more in keeping with the rest of the album. The Golden tour showed how beautiful it could be with the right music. My genuine first loss of the rate.

I gave it a 5 but simply because it's weak compared to the rest of her discography, it's a cute and inoffensive song but pales in comparison

@P’NutButter if it doesn’t tread on the toes of mystery, could we get the song names as well as their elimination number on the front page so it’s easier to locate write ups we’ve missed?

I'll be posting roundups of what has left already when we reach certain points, certain songs can be located that way. I'll keep post #3 as number links for now, so it doesn't ruin the outcome for those just discovering the rate, etc.

Celebration 5.41

Highest Score: 9 x 3 @m_dimitrov, @nanafan, @Ana Raquel
Lowest Score: 0.5 x 1 @Verandi

@nanafan - 9 Kylie and the PWL B Team. Unpopular opinion alert: I’d have rathered Where In The World was release as Kylie last Hit Factory single as it’s a gem and this is a cover by numbers. I like it more as the years pass and Kylie has embraced it in her live shows.
@Andsov - 6 I remember Kylie saying she loves Celebration, but she's not sure she likes her own version. I agree.
@Maki - 6 I don't know what to say about this. It's... fine. Absolutely not single-worthy, though.

@hawkings24 - 5 A waste of a release that I usually skip; the Summer 2015 remix helped it to be honest.
@CasperFan - 5 Meh-a poor way to end her SAW years-thankfully Steve Anderson has improved it for live performances.
@M24 - 3 Inessential cover. Why is this one of her favorite songs??? Gosh.
@MrJames - 3 Thank God releasing covers as a major single isn’t the done thing any more.

@Holly Something - 1 Honestly I don't care for this song in any iteration.
@mrdonut - 1 Loathe the original, loathe this cover. It’s the musical equivalent of enforced fun and Kylie is above all of this.
@Verandi - 0.5 Does somebody actually enjoy this thing? Elderly people spending the summer in some seaside resorts maybe, but sane and functioning members of society?

There was an interview with Kylie I recall where she said "every time I perform Celebration on tour it's all ways a crowd pleaser" but up to that point she'd only performed it on tour for the On a Night Like This Tour and it always made me laugh like, what are you basing that comment on dear?

I absolutely LOVE Celebration when she does it live but PWL didn’t capture the joy of the song on record and that’s what let’s it down a bit. 8 from me.

On all fairness that performance always gave me goosebumps so it obviously had a big impact.

It's about time...

Still can't believe that "Celebration" outlasted "Where in the World?", among other songs (notably some ballads). I totally would've picked the latter as a farewell PWL single instead.

Not that I dislike it, it just doesn't stand out in any way (especially given that it's an unremarkable cover) and it's definitely my least favourite out of the three new songs from 1992 greatest hits album. I do love how she delivers the "what's your pleasure" line, but that's about it.

Lowest Score: 0.5 x 1 @Verandi
Not this revealing that @Verandi gave "What Kind of Fool (Heard All That Before)" a 0.

Or maybe I put a fake average just to get a 666. We just don't know!
