Even though it appears on both albums, Kids felt more like part of the Sing When You're Winning campaign than the Light Years one. Kylie's album had only been out two weeks (and On A Night Like This only two weeks longer than that) when it was released.

Under the Influence of Love should not be out yet, there's a handful of songs from Light Years that would've made much better candidates to go.

she/her
One Last Kiss - 7.5 It’s more in line with what I expected from the album, in a good way. The bridge is lovely.

Through The Years - 8 It has a pleasant groove, to its fault I suppose. It’s more conventional and “ordinary” compared to the rest of the album, so I tend to forget about it.

Under The Influence Of Love - 6 And… the album goes back to the pastiche-y sound I’m not really fond of. Nice strings, beautiful strings.

These commentaries read weird back to back but I'm trying to catch up faster, I promise!

Is that because it sounds like a 1998-2000 album track by The Corrs?
I... oh my god.

Live A Little 6.66

Highest Score: 10 x 2 @WhatKindOfKylie?, @ankh
Lowest Score: 3 x 2 @Jacques, @Gnuh Gnuh

@nanafan - 8 Golden is a strong album and this a catchy track.
@hawkings24 - 8 This song is so underrated I really love it!
@Andsov - 8 Golden has some great songwriting. Live a Little is a little sad and a little fun and all good.
@M24 - 7 The chorus packs a punch! I love it. It's very inspirational too, she's really delivering the best lyrics this album.
@mrdonut - 7 Loses a point for some of that production.
@Maki - 6.5 Ugh, those finger snaps. Did they really have to include them in almost every song? The chorus is a bit off-putting and cringy, but it's an okay track overall.

.

"Live a Little" belongs to that huge bunch of fillers on "Golden". It's cute, but definitely won't be missed.
I quite like it, I think the second verse is really strong lyrically.
"Mum, Dad, don't be sad
One day we'll look back and laugh
Crying over memories we've missed

Time's like sinking sand
Catch it with the other hand
Keep it for the moments just like this"
