It feels like someone perfectly confident and in control of all of their talents effortlessly knowing exactly how to nail every single public performance. While 2009-2011 will forever be her imperial phase, it's amazing to see her move past all the 'mess' that sometimes burdened those times and just be effortlessly flawless, like showbusiness and music is in every fiber of her being. The Superbowl and this performance were just perfectly tuned and delivered and I simply cannot wait to see where she moves on from here, especially now that her shitty rockabilly 'real music' (vomit) phase is over.
I did them the first chorus then I kind of was just in awe after that and lost my mind.
Well, it took over a year but we've somehow stumbled upon an even more musically-inaccurate pejorative than 'country' with which to describe Joanne.
Whew, to think that Gaga took that 'shitty' material and parlayed it into a Platinum-certified #1 album and 2xPlatinum Top 5 single. Not everybody's 'real music' has that.
Isn't it fantastic how it's felt this way since 2015? Literally every year has felt more plentiful and rewarding as a fan than the previous.

She’s definitely been in the midst of a second imperial phase (or something very close to it) since 2015. Not Bobby and Gaga coming with a multi-year, tiered comeback plan to coincide with her 10th anniversary.

An icon. A legend. Nearly 10 years into her career and all of the comparisons have totally dropped away - she's not Madonna, she's not Bowie, she's not Britney, she's Lady fucking Gaga.
