Totally not the film I was expecting but beautifully intimate and wonderfully crafted. I was initially disappointed that some of the songs didn’t feature more but the album works well as a companion piece. Gaga was utterly mesmerising and so beautiful. My boyfriend said he forgot it was Gaga because she was that good. I didn’t need to forget that it was her because the character of Ally was such a gorgeous soul, just like our girl. I just feel proud of her. The film and album are a triumph and a transcendent moment.
This star already done been born but her ability to continue to rise always astounds me. I love her so fucking much.
