I've read comments saying it's "spacey" or "medical"...maybe the theme is something of that nature? Otherwise the mask is really pointless on an otherwise beautiful shot. So much Shakira.

But, Its WAYYY better than the BTW album cover. Also, this isnt really confirmed to be album cover until Gaga tweets it. It could be promo. VF was the only one saying its the cover

Well I'm happy with this as an album cover, it is very simple but striking. I guess it probably isn't very Gaga to release an album cover before an announcement about the date of the release before so I could definitely see this being a troll incident.

Hopefully she canned the app idea to be honest. ARTPOP is now a political party.

The release strategy basically guarantees that the song will be a hit....it will have a big debut first week fueled by hype, big second week fueled by VMAs performance and big third week fueled by the video release. After that, even if it fizzles out, it will still be considered a success.

It is interesting that she may have cut whatever rumored plans she had with ShowStudio & Nick Knight to do the cover and to have Inez & Vindooh to shoot it. I'm so happy that the brunette hair is in the promo shoot.
