It’s legit but an early demo. It’s been reworked since then to have the chorus over the breakdown and the “every nation/whatever it is” lyrics are gone.

Wasn’t that song confirmed to be a demo from Born This Way though? I remember Lady Gaga Now talking about it. And the ATRL insider claimed this is not the song he heard early this week. I’m kind of confused right now. Don’t know what to believe.

No, it’s new, but the melody on the above leaked snippet is extremely Born This WayGa, so it’s understandable that someone could mistake it for being an old demo. I remember thinking the same thing.
Interscope was flagging uploads of it on Twitter last fall, I think, which is when we got the title. Then Gaga posted this image where you can see her listening to the track
It is indeed very confusing, but the tea is that the song is from elgeesix and that snippet we heard is a demo from the early stages.

Based only on the early reaction across the fanbase (to like... three snippets) elsewhere, I feel like she’s damned either way with this.
A large portion of the fanbase said Joanne wasn’t hook-laden enough or catchy enough or dance pop enough (yawn). Now she’s probably about to release a song that ticks all the boxes they demanded back when “The Cure is so much better than anything on Joanne!!!”, it’s not good enough for them either. This is why she blocks the fan noise out these days and follows her instincts.
We’ve heard relatively nothing yet, but I trust her entirely - she’s never let me down thus far. The last five years should tell us she knows exactly what she’s doing.
