"Special edition" food has always been so strange to me. You gonna proudly display that unopened package of cookies on your shelf in 10 years?
In 2003 Sbarro Pizza (for non Americans this is a pizza slice place in mall food courts - real high brow stuff) did a promotional thing with In the Zone where if you ordered a large fountain drink you got a cup with Britney's face on it and a mini-cd that had Me Against the Music and Brave New Girl on it. I not only still have the mini cd but I still have the cup. It's not a collectible cup. It's a disposable paper cup that I drank pop from, rinsed out, and then kept. Much more reasonable than keeping Oreos.
My Britney Pepsi & Jonas Brothers Coors Light say hello any time someone enters. But actual food? No ma’am.
I- The HOLE I have fallen into. There was a company called LidRock that specialised in making 3" CDs for the lids of soft drinks?! And "Brave New Girl" shared a CD with Nick Cannon and Bowling For Soup?!??!!
This is it! I think you could get one that had the Me Against the Music single cover on it too, but this is the very one I have sitting in a cupboard.
The way not a single Sbarro’s near me carried the Britney promo material & I am still pissed 17 years later.
Where were you living? I grew up in Massachusetts and I swear the entire state did whatever it could to erase Britney from public consciousness in the early 2000s.
I guess Los Angeles Sbarro’s locations weren’t here for the payola. And let me tell you, I frequent(ed) A LOT of Sbarro’s.
