That 1000 Doves remix is the best thing here. Throbbing, ethereal, dark. Sounds like The Knife and Light Asylum in a gay club at 2am. Absolutely incredible.
Let me join in the chorus for Clarence Clarity and Mura Masa to work with Googoo on the next album. The only track I'm not into so far is COUCOU CHLOE's Stupid Love remix. Chill out with the weird pitch bending
I'm actually quite enjoying SFA remix 911 was underwhelming, was expecting upbeat bop like the original also Babylon with Bree needs to be a single asap
I'm finding Mura Masa's production a little... limp? Shygirl is great but there's not a whole lot else going on there.
Planningtorock turned the party on 1000 Doves. I like the 80s new wave flair it has with the tech house production
Okay but Fun Tonight actually goes off with this Brazilian Funk instrumental. Pabllo sounds....bad nn
The Pabllo Vittar remix of "Fun Tonight" is a crochet cover for a propane tank, children reading Machado De Assis in elementary school, Nazaré Tedesco finding her reflection in the mirror gostosa pra caramba, the bathing mouse from Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, Alcione's nail art, Clarice Lispector swearing she's only sad because she's tired on TV Cultura in 1978, chocolate frosting on a carrot cake, Maria Bethânia erupting in a delighted que coisa liiiiinda after having read a poem, a full set of amber-colored Duralex plates and glasses, Daniela Albuquerque calling Hebe Camargo de sebosa, Vera Magalhães announcing a quick break before the last portion of the interview, "No Meio Do Caminho" by Carlos Drummond De Andrade, the jabuticaba tree, wishing someone the best by saying bonasera Catuxa io aguro tantalaguri tanta felichità e quë siano repiterepitepemuitomuito tempu, expressing one's disagreement with the following formula: que burro cara que loucura como você é burro que coisa absurda isso aí que você disse é tudo burrice burrice eu não não não... consigo gravar muito bem o que você falou porque você fala de uma maneira burra. The Pabllo Vittar remix of "Fun Tonight" is not a secretly bolsominion uncle stating he's not either left-wing or right-wing.
Wow, a lot of Gaga vinyl this year. Two Chromatica variants plus the remix, the Born This Way reissue, and multiple Love For Sale variants. And I believe two Urban exclusives?
Listened to the half of the album (the tracks I like the most firstly) and only one I think I will not return back to is Rain On Me sadly. I really did not like what Arca did but anyway I don't like Arca's music so it is ok. I really loved what Planningtorock, Jimmy Edgar, Rina Sawayama and Mura Masa did with the mixes I have listened. They delivered unsurprisingly.
Charli contributing multiple verses to 911 and actually namedropping Gaga in one of them...two of my favorite pop stars ever coming together and the result being incredible...I'm w*t
