The whiplash between her wailing at the piano and (gods be willing) letting her freak flag fly over some industrial techno will only harm the new single. The GP can very rarely hold two versions of one person in mind at the same time (especially a woman).
I don’t think anything from this new album is going to register in the public consciousness beyond “Die With A Smile”, and I don’t mean that as a slight. But that song is just so massive that it’s going to overshadow anything she does anyway. Nothing is in danger of being harmed here.
